I'd say Pete Rose, the WCW championship meant nothing really at the time but a Hall Of Fame is different.

I'd say Pete Rose for sure, like Danny Electric said, the WCW title was a joke by that stage anyway but Rose does not deserve to be put in the same class as Snuka and Co.

Nope, Simply because being put in the hall of fame is something you achieve after years and years of work. You give your life to the business, you stay away from home for long periods at a time and you get into the hall of fame because you deserve to because you made a difference somehow in the industry. To put Pete rose into it is a joke and spits in the face of all those people who had great careers in the WWE and aren't in it.

The WCW title was a worthless piece of shit and now the WWE hall of fame ranks no higher because of some stupid decision to put some stupid ass baseball player in because he couldn't get into the baseball hall of fame

the way I see it:

by inducting Pete Rose in the hall of fame just spat on such legends as Superfly, Monsoon, and the many others that spent years to get there. They spent years trainin, blood, sweat, and tears were shed to get in there... It was to be a monumental kinda thing to be put in any hall of fame... but to add Pete Rose in it cause he was in three WM and got tombstoned by the same guy? Piss on WWE for that. They should just add Kane to it cause he did those three beat downs... and add Rikishi cause he game Pete the stink face at WM as well... WWE pissed on the legends that worked so hard to get there.

Arquette winnin the WCW title? That was the main thing that made me say... I am no longer watchin this crap again... and cept for a few minutes and the very final Nitro from then that was what I did. Despite the fact that the WCW title lost plenty of credibility, there was history in it. Such greats as Flair held it... people that revolutionized the business like Hogan held that title. They sacrificed for that belt. Flair with the blood streaked hair of his winnin that title in bloody steel cage matches. Bones broken, all of that and they give it to some crap actor. That was a piss on the industry and all those people that worked hard for years to win that... And there were even some that worked even harder and never got to hold that belt.

Either or, they both are disgraces and pisses on history.

Im gonna have to go with Pete Rose. I thought that even though what they did with David Arquette was to promote there movie, they did it good. I liked the whole thing. When I look back and think about it. I actually think its funny at the lengths they were willing to go to promote that movie.

It was hard to pick just one because they were both disgraces to the wrestling community. Arquette winning the title was a joke of a move used only to promote the movie Ready to Rumble. I've read a few people saying that the title was shit when he won it. Yes it was going slowly downhill, but putting the title around Arquette not only killed the credibility of the title, it spit on the champs before who busted ass to get to the top of their game. (no pun intended) Anything that WCW put out for the fans after Arquettes title run was meaningless to the sport.

I dont see what the big deal with Pete Rose is.

In other sports HOF's they have separate categories for things like announcers, builders and the like. So why cant wrestling, which has used celbrities as part of their shows induct people who made an impact into the HOF.

Now, Pete Rose never sold any buyrates, but he was an entertaining character on a number of Wrestlemanias and added to the overall show. Its not like he's being inducted as a wrestler, he's being inducted as a celebrity perfermor, so I dont see the harm.

Dont get me wrong, I know the WWE is just using him to get publicity, but I dont think they are hurting whatever credibility their HOF has by inducting Rose, who like I said has done some entertaining stuff for the WWE. Would people object to inducting Tyson, he did help put the WWE back on the map, so why not?

The Arquette thing I found far more offensive. Why? Because the whole idea behind pro wrestling is that there are a bunch of guys fighting to become the world champion. When you bring in a guy who visually has no business being in the ring, and put the world title on him, you make that title worthless, when you make the world title worthless you make the promotion worthless, when the promotion is worthless it eventually goes out of business. So by my logic Arquette blows the Rose-HOF thing out of the water.

Of course the WWE HOF really has no credibility because Bruno isn't in it. I understand Hogan and Hart not being there yet, because they haven't been out of the business that long, but until Bruno gets in, I dont think the WWE HOF has any value to begin with.

David Arquette winning the title was worse. The thing is that WCW made it look 'legit' that he was the champ. The downfall of WCW was beginning at this time.

The WWE Hall of Fame is a joke anyways, I mean Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart, possibly the two biggest people in wrestling history are not in the Hall. That shows the respect the Hall has.

I doubt Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame will kill WWE, like Arquette winning the big gold belt did to WCW. And is Lou Thesz in the Hall of Fame? I think that he'd deserve consideration.

I said Pete rose. Before I saw my brothers video of WrestleMania XV, I'd never herd of Pete Rose. He was unrecogniseable to me (and not because of the bloody chicken suit)

I had herd of David Arquette before watching my friends WCW Slamboree Video. I recognized him and it was actually pretty funny watching Courtney Cox yelling at him cos he wasnt a wrestler, and Jeff Jarrett berating him for booking the Triple Cage Match "Who died and made YOU commissioner, Skippy?!"

Pkus they got the footage they wanted for Ready To Rumble. Inducting someone into the Hall of Fame of WWE when all they have done is get Tombstoned twice, chokeslammed, stinkfaced, and lifted for a chokeslam on a commercial for a PPV is disgraceful. Pat Patterson, Shawn Michaels, Gorrilla Monsoon are all Hall of Famers after years of working in the business, and now they have to have their names assosiated with a washed up baseball player.

They are both disgraceful acts, and I see how Rose's induction pisses on all of the great wrestlers in that hall of fame. But, without doubt the day Arquette had that title put on him every wrestler who ever lived was basically told "hey, this is how much the belt you've been working your ass off to get is really worth: jack shit". And Vince Russo insulted the intelligence oof every fan watching that night.
