This is from Raw before the Hardy/Jericho intercontinental title match. I noticed it live, and I found a video so I could screenshot it.

Basically, it just seems like an odd expression. I imagine it has something to do with Jeff knowing that after this match, he's suspended. Take a look.



What's he thinking at that moment?

No, not a formal contest. I just thought it was a strange look to make in context. Jericho was actually in the ring at that point - this is about five seconds before the bell rings, and Jeff is looking into the crowd with that face.

I noticed that face too, actually. I knew he was suspended at the time, so I thought it may have been because he heard some people booing him because he was busted.

Of course, RAW airs differently in Australia to America, so I wasn't sure if Hardy's escapades were known before RAW originally aired live, or after it. Turns out it was after, but Jeff dropping the IC Title was a bit strange. I could have very easily seen the WWE keeping it on Hardy for a while yet.

My opinion is that Jeff had already been discovered at this point, his drug results known, and him dropping the IC Title was punishment before he got suspended, and Jeff heard some boos (which were from pro-Jericho fans), and he was pissed off that the story had broken so quickly, and that people had turned against him so quickly.

I've got no evidence to back that up, of course, it's just a possible theory. Another is that Jeff was just reacting to boos generally.

I was really enjoying Jeff's work. I still wasn't to the point where I wanted him to win matches, but he was very entertaining. I hope everything works out OK for him.

I remember seeing it too and it seemed he was getting heckled a bit, maybe a few smarks in the crowd heard about the drug thing and knew he was gonna lose.
