WWE Releasing Allied Powers: Wrestlings Greatest Tag Teams DVD July 14th
Amazon.Com has WWE releasing a long awaited Greatest Tag Teams in Wrestling DVD July 14th. JR had said in a earlier blog they had been deciding on doing a countdown special of the greatest tag teams of all time or a bio on multiple tag teams. He mentioned his fav tag team was Pat Patterson & Ray Stevens
What tag teams/matches do you hope make the set? |

I remember them.
When I first read this thread, the only thing I saw was "Allied Powers, Wrestlings greatest Tag Team DVD" so I thought that this was just a 2 hour DVD on the Allied Powers, Luger and Bulldog. Cause there wasnt much about them.... Obviously LOD is gonna be in there. |

I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of focuse on WCW here as well. They had some cool teams towards the end. Jindrak and O'Haire, Kronik, Vampiro and Muta, Kidman and Mysterio...

I would love to see part of this devoted to WCW, and by that I do NOT mean Kronik. I mean Harlem Heat, the Hollywood Blondes, the Outsiders, the Steiner Brothers.
I wonder how much they'll feature the New Age Outlaws and the Dudleys on this DVD. |

Would like to see some stuff from the AWA. Perhaps Rose and Somers, Stevens and Bockwinkle.
Midnight and Rock and Roll Express from NWA would be cool too. |

Great tag teams HAS to include the Steiners, LOD, Minnesota Wrecking Crew, Rockers, Midnight Express, Freebirds, Rock and Roll Express, Harlem Heat, Hollywood Blondes...
Of course we'll see Hardy's Edge and Christian and maybe the Dudleys. |

Sweet. I've been meaning to pick up Saturday Night and Starcade DVD's forever. I am getting behind on my DVD's. Has anything else come out since? Like of classic DVD's. Not PPV's or the best of Rey Mysterio or whatever?
I think they will be smart and include all-star teams from the 50's to today. We'll see if the Fabulous Kangaroos are on there. I bet they start with them |

WCW had WWF beat for a long while with their tag team division.
The Steiner Brothers, Harlem Heat, The Nasty Boys, The Hollywood Blondes, Hall & Nash, The Blue Bloods, The 4 Horsemen, The Triad, Public Enemy, even the Villanos (jobbers here, yes, but still good) etc., etc., etc. And before that, the NWA had just as many great tag teams as WWF / WWWF ever had. Hopefully that gets acknowledged on the DVD, and is not just made a footnote while the WWF/WWE teams are showcased. |
