Is Micheal Vick or Brett Favre the bigger distraction?
To their team?
Think about it, post your reasons why. |

Brett Favruh.
He seems more likely to bitch to the media if he is not getting at least half of the snaps of each game. |

Favre easily. Vick at least seems to know his place, and is there as a complement to the offense. Favre is the star and is there to take over the offense.

Farve mainly because he will probably end up just playing with the Vikings this year and then retire or consider a new team. Vick is basically on a 2-year project where his 1st year is him getting used to the NFL and rebuilding his image and then year 2 is where he can be more than just a Wild Cat QB.

What about the animal rights protesters that are going to be at every game, every practice?, every ect. Do you not think that will ultimately be the undoing of Vick and the Eagles?

Get a read of this...
Who do you think will be the biggest distraction to his team? Brett Favre 21% Terrell Owens 24% Chad Ochocinco 9% Michael Vick 29% Jay Cutler 2% Brandon Marshall 9% Tom Brady 1% Tom Cable 1% Michael Crabtree 3% Tony Romo 1% |

So far the media spin has been largely positive and focused on Vick's rehabilitation. Besides, he's in Philly. No protester could intimidate me as much as those people.

Skippord brings up a good point too. Favre's already cause tension withing his team by signing so late. He pissed off a lot of teammates by "deciding" to come out of retirement after training camp.
Plus if we're talking media circuses, Favre's is as big as anyone's. |

You could even look at it as which coach is under more pressure to win and that would be Childress just because of the expectations of Farve with the Vikings. |

And Minnesota's players still seem to support Tarvaris Jackson
which makes sense |

and Farve more than likely shook the locker room's confidence in Brad Childress

T.O. is mainly a distraction when his ego gets in the way or when the team struggles badly. If team is doing well or he's playing well, he tends not to say anything bad, but when team struggles or his stats drop then he becomes an issue.
Of the three, Farve is the one who is a distraction even before he joins a team just because of the yearly circus the media and himself does each off-season. T.O. takes around the 2nd year before he begins to get upset and Vick distraction is because of his off the field actions. Guarantee this off-season, the 1st thing that will be said is "will Farve return to Vikings/NFL or be retired for good". Last edited by Emperor Smeat; 09-05-2009 at 11:55 PM. |

McNabb mentioned earlier in the pre-season how the offense needs to get into rhythm and then today during the Syracuse game he was in the booth and said the same thing. I really think that's McNabb hinting that he feels that Vick coming in for a few plays here or there is going to disturbing the flow of the game. Does that make him a bigger distraction, I don't know. I also don't know if a distraction is that terrible of a thing in Minnesota, as long as Favre doesn't go into "GUNSLINGER" mode and start tossing INTs all over the place this whole thing could be a blessing. They have the best RB in the NFL and a pretty good defense, if he takes the attention of those 2 things just allowing them to play out it could be a huge year for the Vikes. As for players wanting Jackson, I'm not totally sure how true that is but even if it is true it doesn't really matter because he wasn't gonna start this year with or without Favre joining the team. You don't put that much money into a free agent QB (Sage) just to play the guy you already had.

Michael Crabtree may be the biggest distraction this year. The vets are going to be pissed at him for holding out so long without becoming established. He'll probably end up making more than half of the team combined. That and he'll have his posse follow him around the whole time.
