big day out on sunday
i got a free vip pass through the magazine, the catch being i have to watch certain bands and write review paragraphs, meaning i'll miss out on a few acts i would've liked to see. pity. still, i have to review:

lily allen
jet
girl talk
miami horror
surecut kids
karnivool
i heart hiroshima
the mars volta

i have some time in the middle of the day where i might be able to catch the last 15 minutes of the decemberists and take in dizzee rascal for shits ang giggles, but i won't get to see the middle east, which kind of sucks as i'd like to have seen them at the biggest festival this country has.

volta's the last band of the day i have to review, so i have an hour to kill between them and muse, who i get to enjoy on a purely spectatorly level. only two bands on close to worth watching during that time are powderfinger and grinspoon, neither of whom thrill me, particularly. i can deal with grinspoon's music more, but powderfinger fans are probably more pleasant to surround yourself with. so it's kind of like being stuck between a rock and a hard place.

looks like a lot of my acts clash too. so i'll be seeing lots of half sets. awesome. and they are all over the place. will be running back and forth all day, i can see it now.

gonna be fucking amazing fun though. will tell you guys all about my big day out experience afterwards

i think you should just watch the bands you want to and then review the bands you were supposed to see by grabbing reviews from elsewhere. HUNTER S style.
