Pats have 4 defensive backs on the IR; Randall Gay (ankle), Rodney Harrison (knee), Tyrone Poole (ankle) and Duane Starks (sucking at football)
Damn, Troy Brown is gonna be the starting cornerback pretty damn soon - unless he gets injuried again too. I know Koppen is out for the year but I haven't heard the status on Matt Light - I don't know if he is done for the year too? Last edited by Jesus Shuttlesworth; 11-15-2005 at 09:46 PM. |

Dont worry. Indy still has to go to New England again next year so you'll have a shot at redemption. Hopefully you are healthy so there wont be any excuses. And when i say excuses i mean excuses. They are pretty legit excuses. Sucks you guys couldnt be healthy when we layed that ass whoopin. Still if Indy beats the Bengals and the Steelers back to back. It wont matter what they did against the Pats. I guess what i'm trying to say while smoking on this spliff is... The Colts didnt prove much by beating a beatin team ( Patriots ), but they will prove more by beating the Bengals and Steelers, then they would have proven against a healthy Patriots team. I'm telling you right now we are gunna crush the Bengals. I'm not trying to pump my chest. I seriously think its gunna be brutal. I think Indy is gunna run the ball non stop until the Bengals bring a couple of linebackers up to stop the run. Then they will be hit up top repeatedly. Bengals are already horrible at stopping the run so i guarantee they wont drop 8 back and if they do. Its gunna ball controll clock controll all night long. Indy has the 4th ranked defense and the 2nd ranked offense. I look for the Colts to keep the ball close to 40 minutes in this game. With the Colts defense playing fresh every time they come on the field. They might give up a big play TD. Then might give up a drive, but they wont give up much and they will be off the field for 35-40 minutes of the game. The Bengals cant let the Colts run the ball smash mouth and put up 7-10 minute drives with points. They would be letting the fastest and hardest hitting defense in the league sit on the side line and gather steam. The best chance the Bengals have of winning this game is to win it in a shootout. One of those " Hope they have the ball last " games. I dont think the Colts defense will let that happen tho. Ranked 4th after 9 games means something. Its not just a fluke. I see Indianapolis winning this game 31 -10. |

Maybe it's the drug that's killing your brain cells. But let me get this straight, beating the the Steelers and Bengals would prove more then beating a healthy Pats team? You gotta explain that one to me. Take away all the Pats injuries, Bruschi, Seymore, Dillon, Harrison, basiclly you face the full superbowl roster... and that would mean less then the Bengals and Steelers? Gotta be something here I'm missing. |

1) My team is exactly the "shit" I think they are a good team with a ton of injuries. 2) You still have explained what you said, which was probably just a product of the weed. You said a Quote:
The Pats lost Andruzzi replaced with Mankins Ted Johnson & Roman Phifer retired. Otherwise it's the same team that won the superbowl, so rather then another one of your spazz outs, try giving an answer to the question. How would the colts "prove" more beating the Steelers & Bengals then beating a healthy patriots team? |

I just don't see why any team scouting them wouldn't just pass all day. The Secondary is horrible, the LB's aren't fast enough to cover, and because they keep dropping people back and seymore being out they haven't been able to get to the QB. The offense even with the injuries has looked pretty good, but you can't win in the NFL without Defense (look at the Pats first superbowl). |

Troy really wasn't THAT far down the depth chart last year, they just had no depth at CB to begin with. They actually kinda had depth at corner going into this season but losing a safey forced a corner to move to safety. Then the corner that moved to safety was put on IR. The injury bug is much worse then last year, plus the 2 leaders of the defense have barely been there. Harrison is done for the year and I highly doubt Bruschi will be able to make the plays he made last year. Still tho, injuries happen and it is part of the game. I would say Indy deserved the Superbowl if they could have actually beat a healthy Patriots team but they just got lucky this year. I still don't think they will win it all though. I don't see how beating the Steelers means more then beating the PAST Patriots teams though? Especially since the Patriots beat the Steelers this year with Chad "I am offically the worst player in the NFL with Duane Starks on the IR" Brown starting at middle linebacker. |

And if we are gunna use injuries as an excuse. Fine by me. Last year our secondary was decimated with injuries. Strickland, Doss, Sanders and Harper were all injured repeatedly. The only reason Jason David is starting this year is because he had to come in last year as a late round pick starting at corner.
When Edge went down with his knee injury. Hell thats 2 years of excuses right there. Injuries wasnt a factor when you guys were beating the Colts left and right , but all of a sudden you lose and now all we hear about is your injuries. Whatever. Wasnt hearing anything about injuries when Tom Brady was getting GOAT recognition earlier this year. Oh but now you lose a few games and lose to your biggest rival and now we cry about injuries. Fuck that. Injuries happen. I wasnt crying when Edge tore his knee up and played a whole season at about 60%. Stop crying about injuries. Its weak. |

And you know what else. If you would have beaten the Colts with all those Injuries you wouldnt be crying about them at all. You'd be gloating about how great your team is and how injuries dont matter. Well fuck that shit. We beat your ass. I hope your healthy in the playoffs ( If you make the playoffs ) So we can put another firm ass whippin on you.
Oh btw . What did Injuries have anything to do with Tom Brady and that number 7 ranked offense not being able to keep your team in the game. Was it because out defense is alot better /gasp. We were the better team reguardless of whether or not Harrison was on the field or not. So please move on. Stop crying about injuries. I dont see Jets fans crying about Pennington being gone. I dont see the Eagles fans on the board crying about how shitty they're season has gone with losing there top reciever and there QB. So please just stfu about your injuries. |

RP I think you forget that the Colts have won like 1 out of the last 7 (or was it 8?) againest the Patriots - That's not even a good average in baseball..Injuries weren't the only reason why the Pats lost this year but they played a huge roll. Every year there is injuries here and there but even you can admit the Patriots have gotten a ridiculous amount of them..way more the "usual"

RP - take a chill pill, I'm not attacking you.
You said, beating the Steelers and bengals would mean more then if the Pats had been 100% healthy and you beat them, I asked you to clarify and you took a mini-hissy fit. Not as good as the other one you had but still amusing. So, plain and simple, you made a statement that made no sense, I asked you to explain it and you took a mini-fit, I then asked again and you ignored, I asked a 3rd time and you kinda of explained what you meant Quote:
So, maybe I don't understand, are you saying that the CURRENT Bengels and Steelers (who the Pats beat, in Pittsburg) are MUCH BETTER teams then last years superbowl champs minus Joe Andruzzi & Ted Johnson? Cause weather you realize it or not, that is what you said, I'm asking for clarification because while we disagree on a lot of things, this just seems way to far out there. If that is exactly what you meant I'm asking why, what about those two teams, currently makes them MUCH BETTER then last years superbowl champion minus Andruzzi & Johnson. Also, the funny thing is, you mentioned the Pats injuries affecting this year’s game long before I did; I've said all along injuries are part of the game. I never used them as an excuse before or after the game, you’re the one who brought up the Pats injuries (by the way, they wont be “healthy” for the playoffs, although Dillon may heel and Light could be back, Koppen, Harrison, Chad Scott, Gus Scott, Poole, Starks, Gay are all done for the year, IR can’t return. 2 safety’s 4 cb, 1 OL (center). Faulk & Light were recently upgraded from “out” to doubtful so I expect to see them back by seasons end (although the way they talked about Faulk, I wouldn’t be surprised if he hits the IR soon) . Losing one or two, even key players is part of the game, happens to every team, but this year is clearly different, the number of injuries and the depth of injuries is much worse then anything the Pats or Colts delt with the last few years. It’s not simply that Dillon is out, but so is his backup Faulk, so is the FB Pass, the 2 guys running the ball last week didn’t have jobs! As for the Offense, I went through this with someone else, the offense did fine, it's the defense that got destroyed, and the stats show that clearly. As for crying about injuries, I love how you make this stuff up, and as for the "you don't see Jets fans" you're right, neither team is "Crying" but ask a single Jets fan if they would have a better shot with Chad instead of Without and you no the answer.
