Yeah I saw that on the tsn website like at around 4:30 this morning or something like that.
Well it was bound to happen, he got the job mainly due to his friendship with Mario. Most NHL head coaches should at least have first experience coaching in the minors or something. |

Boo yeah!!!!!! Eddie is outta here. I've been waiting for it to happen since the day the Penguins won the draft lottery. I knew that even though they won Crosby, and signed Gonchar and Palffy, they would not succeed with Eddie O behind the bench.
I hope they turn it around, but Therrien wasn't my first choice, but he should be far better. |

Whooo 8-2!!!!!!!
Sens beat the Leafs, second straight 8 goal game against the Leafs. All 8 goals tonight were socred by different players Heatley, Fisher, Redden, Spezza, Smolinksi, Alfredsson, Vermette, Kelly 3 fights including Spezza beating the crap out of Coliacovo and Neil possibly rebreaking Belak's nose. Spezza had a Gordie Howe Hat Trick Sens went 6 for 11 on the Power Play (6 powerplay goals is a new franchise record) All in all total domination by the Ottawa Senators. They have now outscored Toronto 16-2 in the past 2 games and 25-9 in the past 4. Last edited by Lara Emily; 12-17-2005 at 11:21 PM. |

I was reading some Yahoo article on a Yahoo's hockey analysis. He was ranking players so far this year. At the end he offers reader feedback. I came across a real LMFAO...

Man some Leafs fan are hillarious
from a comments left on TSN.ca No. 61 Author: Feuer_Frei The Sens didn't kill us....we did it ourselves. If it wasn't for our reckless penalties, it would have been a 2-1 game. And Sens' fans showed the lack of class. Chanting "Leafs suck" is purely classless, it shows disrepect for the opponent. NHL should look into this and impose some financial penalty on Sens for the action of their fans. and: No. 133 Author: GoLeafsGo_ForzaFerrari I believe the last time the sens finished first in the league played toronto in the second round and guess what they lost 4 STRAIGHT! 1-1 at the end of the first then the refs went to work and called crap call after crap call. oh and i love the disrespecting of the ottawa fans of belfour and the leafs at the end of the game after belak and wilm and coliacovo beat the crap outta the panzi sens. keep celebrating, keep laughing and keep thinking you can beat the leafs in the playoffs sens fans because its really all u have. also a side note the sens are dam good at diving perhaps they should take up professional diving during the summer and also aki berg deserves 2 of the ottawa goals more specificly the 7th and 8th goal. The game was awesome after a fight, they plaed Angle's theme song and the fans chanted Leafs Sucks instead of You Suck |

it's not hilarious cause it's happened 4 straight times. The sens always murder the leafs in the regular season, then the sens choke cuase they have no heart.

![]() You're comparing Bondra and Simpson to Hasek and Heatley (infinitely younger than every other in the list of 4)??? You're blind if you can't see that this time is leaps and bounds better than any previous Ottawa Senators team. They have a bonfide starting goalie, a better coaching staff. Inferioririty complex lol. You are the epitome of arrogant, know next to nothing Leafs fan. The leafs may have beaten the Senators in the playoffs but they still haven't won it all either and in fact have lost series to teams the Sens have beaten , no to tmention the Leafs team this year is weaker then most of the previous incarnations. The Sens have gotten leaps and bounds better while the Leafs have gotten worse. |

And am I hardly a know nothing leaf fan. Ottawa is ALWAYS the better team going into the playoffs, but they don't know how to win big game and they have no heart, and yet again, the leafs will knock them out of the first round and lose the phili in the next round and all will be happy |

I was surprised to see us win in shootout with Huet as our goalie, with all the good scorers in Ottawa.

Talking about the selections for the canadian olympic team:
A few bad picks imo, and no, Bertuzzi isnt one of them. I could care less that he made the team. I dont like Draper. He's a mediocre player, nothing more, and I dont care if he's a great defensive forward or checker..with so much talent on one team, that should hardly matter much as I think scoring is what is most important on the team. But the thing is, we have a whole fucking line of checkers. Draper, Smyth and Doan. Which to me just proves that this team was already picked way beforehand pretty much. Also, St,Louis..they wanted some speed, well Kariya has that in droves, and plus, I feel he is more talented then Martin. Kariya could have replaced him. |

Smyth and Doan are hardly checkers, Zen. If that's the role they'll play (something they can easily do) Canada is laughing. Draper is known for his solid two way play. This year he's not putting up the numbers he did a couple years ago, but he's perhaps the game's best two way player and he'd make a Doan-Smyth line really aware of their first priority... going by your analysis.

Many of the greatest defensive forwards generally have negative +/-'s. Because they play against the other teams best players. That's not the problem, it's the low production this year that makes his selection somewhat baffling. That's Gretzky though, loyal to what he believes in. |

Does that mean what I stated isn't true? Lets not forget that hockey is a team game, and the Red Wings are a powerful offensive team. Not so much this year, and it's part of what translates into a person's +/- Like I stated, his offensive production (which adds to his +/-) is down, and that's what makes his selection baffling. |

Okay, so I've missed out on a lot of hockey what with the shit last year and Channel 5 over here not picking it up any more. So I have a few questions:
Why the hell does Paul Kariya now play for Nashville? Did Theo Fleury ever play again? Do the Rangers have a shot? If not, will they ever? Does Super Mario still kick ass? Is glasshead Lindros still going? The shootout thing? Wassup with that? And how old is Hasek nowadays? I assumed he woulda retired by now |
