I admit I cried when I found out and tried to tell someone else about it
![]() ![]() Gonna miss him more than I miss any other wrestler or other public figure. A website that I think is Chavos official site (http://www.kerwin-white.com or the site also goes by www.chavo-guerrero.com) has a Book of Condolence which will be passed onto the Guerrero Family. Terrible, terrible news. Easily one of my favorite wrestlers, and the industry will not be the same without him. It's always tragic when some one dies, but this is really heartbreaking. I never knew him personally, all I can do is reflect on the memories he has given us in the ring. Rest in peace Eddie.

Just watched an old AAA match with Los Gringos Locos (Eddie, Art Barr, and Louie Spicolli). I was stunned by how amazing all three of those guys were, and gave me chills realizing that none of them are around anymore.

Chris Jericho on Eddie's Passing ![]() I've lost alot of friends over the years but this one hurts the most by far. I had the pleasure of meeting Eddy in Mexico City almost 14 years ago and we've been close ever since (although it didn't start that way!) He is one of my favorite people that I've ever met in the wrestling business, as well one of the greatest performers I've ever seen and had the pleasure to work with. One of my favorite times in my career was when Eddy and I were an underutilized, underpushed, hell, almost non-exisitant tagteam, that were thrown together randomly in WCW. But there was a chemistry there that existed becuase we had mutual respect for each other and we both loved what we were doing. One of my most cherished matches was myself and Eddy vs Chris and Dean in Knoxville, on a benefit show for our dear friend Brian Hildebrand. All four of us started the same way and had the same love and respect for the business, for Brian and for each other...it was a magical night. My best match of 1997 was against Ed at Fall Brawl that year. He was as talented as they come and a true class act. He was also so humble and a true family man and most importantly a warrior for God. He taught me so much about wrestling and about being a man and it is an honor to call him a true brother and friend. I have so many classic Eddy stories that I would love to share, but instead I'm just going to go and cry myself to sleep remembering what an awesome human being Eddy was and will always be... May God bless your family and your soul and may he keep you safe forever putillo falso....I love you my brother... Love your chapete |

Dammit. Eddie was gold. One of the best all around entertainers in wrestling history. This is beyond depressing.

Its really hard to even think about Eddie Guerrero dying even tho he passed. I'm not sure what to say.I dont post on this forum alot , but aside from Chris Benoit, Eddie was my favorite wrestler of all time. His DVD ( Which i own and love ) was amazing. Not because of the matched, but because of the story of Eddie. I like many other fight demons and to see this guy tell his story and his battles and see him conquer the demons was amazing and very motivating. He inspired me not as a aspiring wrestler ( which i'm not ) and not because of his charachter in ring, but because of his charachter out of the ring. He lived the life he did so that others with simliar demons and problems can take notes from him on how to be a better man in life. For that i thank him. I thank him for having such amazing ability and personality in the ring, I thank him for working as hard as he did to make it into wrestling and become a world champion, becuase if he hadnt worked that hard, I wouldnve been able to hear his story and take notes on how he conducted himself out of the ring through out all of life's turmoil. Eddie Guerrero is and will always be the man.

![]() ![]() Amidst all of this mourning, I'm not sure if I did post this, and even if I did, it deserves to be said again. Eddie, from the bottom of my heart... THANK YOU. The world needs more inspirations like you. Thank you for entertaining us, even at the cost of your body. Thank you for the laughs, and emotion, the triumphs, the matches, and most importantly, the example you set by overcoming your own demons, showing others that it was possible. We'll get through this much in the same way you got through your problems... one day at a time. But you will never be forgotten. |

I just got threw watching the Malenko/Guerrero 2 out of 3 falls match from ECW with the commentary track of Dean and Eddie (off of the Eddie DVD) and at the end Dean says that he hopes in another ten years they could come back and watch it again. I got depressed all over again when I heard that.

The worst part is, it's still not really clicking. Even now, reading everything, and looking at all of the tribute pictures, you can't help but think it's not real. You think that you just saw him a few days ago, that he looked so healthy, that he was young, etc. It's hard to grasp that outside of taped footage, we will never see Eddie again. If it wasn't for the sadness that I'm feeling, I don't think I'd believe it at all. He had a lot of life ahead of him, and it's a shame he didn't get to live it, especially after everything he fought through... Then again, at least he lived to see brighter days, and was fortunate enough to have those 4 sober years at the end, with his family, with his success, with his fans, in control of his life. Most people couldn't accomplish what Eddie did, or live the life he did in two lifetimes, let alone do it in 38 years, and I think that speaks bounds about the type of man Eddie Geurrero was.
![]() Thank you Eddie. Thank you for doing what you loved. Thank you for taking us along with you. Thank you for the memories we will take along with us. |

It's so difficult to believe the Eddie is really gone, and considering that there seemed to be no indication of Eddie having any serious type of health problem. Eddie Gurerro was a one-of-a-kind person.
You will be missed, Eddie. ![]() |

what makes this whole thing surreal is that he was taken away from us right when he was in the middle of a main event program. I can't remember the last time someone all of a sudden just dies when he's in the hunt for the World title

I just can't process this right now. It seems like a dream. I keep thinking I'll wake up and be like, "What a fucked up dream.". Unfortunately, it's no dream. I need to see the tribute shows to get some real grasp on this.

I just relised that Eddies last match was against Ken Kennedy and he won via cheating. Pretending to be knocked out from the chair that he threw to Kennedy. Atleast he had a good last match.

I just can't believe it, I was away from the computer all of yesterday so I only found out from the front page this morning. I'm in shock. I just can't believe he's gone, a man I respected and admired, a wrestler I followed for going on almost a decade now (and even more retrospectively). I can't stop crying, I feel honoured to have seen him in person wrestle Kurt Angle last year at Summerslam. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him, and by all who watched him on TV. He was by all accounts a wonderful human being and I want to thank him for everything he gave to the fans of this great sport. I will be uploading a series of Eddie Guerrero matches as soon as I have the time. My heart goes out to his family and friends I can only imagine what they are going through right now, if I, a person who has never spoken to or truly met Eddie Guerrero feel this sad.
RIP Eddie Guerrero may you rest in peace |

I'm really glad I got to see him perform live at least once (summerslam 2004). Still finding this hard to believe.

Damn, I got on msn earlier and Cuzziebro619 asked me if he'd actually passed away, and I hate to say it but my first thought was, "Wow They've really taken this concussion angle to another level". Then I came online here and couldnt believe it, All I could think was Fuck, why him, why not someone who deserved it like Osama Bin Laden or the motherfucker who called in the terrorist threats right here in Brisbane today.
I actually cried a bit after i read it, and its weird for me because I didnt even shed a tear when my grandma died, and that saddens me even worse, and it shows me how much of a role model he was. Now I'm gonna go try and sleep, so I'd like to give my condolences to the Guerrero family, and I'd like to thank Eddie for all the times he went out into that squared circle and busted his ass for us fans. You'll be sorely missed Eddie, Peace Brother ![]() |

I've only known Eddie's work in WWE, but from those few years, I've become convinced eddie was one of the only who could call themselves the complete package. A man who could make the crowd eat out of the palm of his hand, or make them hate him, but no matter what, would always have the crowds respect. It is a massive loss to the wrestling world, not to be able to see him anymore, and to the world itself to lose such a good person. My sincerest condolences go out to his family who have suffered the biggest loss of all, and that the millions of fans of Eddie guerrero support them in this sad time. Thank you eddie for everything, and all the memories you've left us.
Posted this in the book of condolence. it doesn't do justice to him, but its hard to know what to say. |

In the night sky there is always one star
One star that outhines them all One star that is brightest It illuminates such radiancy You can't help but notice it But once that star is gone You know it You feel it You miss it Knowing it won't be back. You wish it wasn't gone You wish it was still there One more time Just to see it one more time Once more. The memory will never be forgotten Will always be remembered In our eyes In our minds In our hearts Eddie was that star Taken away in his prime Although he is not with us He will always be remembered Never forgotten May you rest in peace For your memory Your legacy Will never die But will always live on. Goodbye Eddie. |
