I just want anyone that is willing to read the last 6 posts to realise that I was trying to discuss football and all you're doing , is trying to push my buttons for no apparent reason. Your post does make it seem like Manning is underappericated or something, "He is the MVP as much as people don't want to admit it" lol what are you talking about? Who disputes the claim that Manning is one of the best players in the NFL? I don't think anyone does. I don't think anyone doubts his toughness either, since I don't think he has missed a start in his entire career. Donovan McNabb is the clearcut MVP if it were to be decided right now in my opinion. Take him away from the Eagles and their team flounders.

Giants/Cowboys tonight. Giants will probably play below their talent level, Tim Lewis (D-Coordinator) will probably play a terrible defensive scheme and we will look like we suck again.

What do the Colts do without Peyton Manning? I mean Donovan McNabb is very good but I don't see how you can have the highest rated QB on the league's best team and then say another QB is more deserving.

But that's all Payton has is a higher QB rating. McNabb has more TDs, attempts, completions, yards and all with not having the WR talent that Payton has.

Plus, it's not like Payton has a 10 or 20 point lead in the rating or anything. His lead is a point and a half.

Take away Manning from the Colts or McNabb from the Eagles and they are both going to suck, so I don't really understand that arguement in terms of the MVP race

Philly has plenty of people catching the ball. Sure Indy has Wayne and Harrison but other than that their best option is Dallas Clark and he only has 165 yards on the season. Philly has 6 guys who have over 165 yards on the season. You cannot possibly make the argument that McNabb is lacking people to throw to. If we're gonna make any statement about lack of support how about comparing running backs?

And we can compare stats too. I don't see how more attempts is any indication that McNabb is better. Manning's completion % is better than McNabb's. McNabb's thrown more picks too. Also let's not forget that the Eagles are 4-3 compared to the 6-0 Colts.


And last time I checked... the Bears were beating up mediocre teams. That doesn't make them the best team in the NFL.

That's a frivolous argument.

"Well, even though this team has won all their games, they have an easy schedule so really they aren't that good."

You can make that point in college football, but not in the NFL, especially if you are 6-0. You don't win six games in a row in the NFL unless you are a good team.

I'm glad you have mastered the ability to read otherwise you might've mistaken something I wrote and took off with it in another direction. I'm glad you knew that "not the best team in the league" and "not that good" are the same thing. Isn't funny though that every year there is only one good team and everyone else sucks? You would think that of the 31 teams who aren't the best team in the league, at least one of them would be decent but it never happens. I mean I could tell you about how I actually think the Bears are the second best team in the league right now and that would obviously mean that they are scouting for their upcoming top 3 pick in the draft.

But yeah you definately hit the nail right on the head.

If Indy beats New England in a few weeks I'll say they are the best, right now its pretty much a toss up. Colts run defense is pretty suspect, while Chicago's D is fucking ridiculous. If it wasn't for that Arizona game, I'd say hands down its Chicago but now I'm not so sure.
