The Colts still need to win the Super Bowl in order for Manning to not be a choke artist.

Just disappointed cuz Brady > Manning lemme know when Manning makes Gaffney look like a pro bowler Can't take anything away from Indy though, they finally won the big one, lets see what happens in the Superbowl Pretty depressed right now though, this shit is gay |

That is seriously the stupidest thing I've read in regards to this entire Patriots/Colts game. I dunno how you never knew about Reggie Wayne, yet you've known about Gaffney for years when Reggie Wayne has been in the NFL for just as long (or it might even be a year longer) Plus I did hear about Reggie Wayne before he played with Manning, seeing how he was a first round pick out of the University of Miami. Gaffney was a bust out of college, while Reggie Wayne was a solid pick up. Stokley I can see, but saying Reggie Wayne is the samething as Caldwell or Gaffney is really the dumbest thing anyone has said on here in a while. |

Jabar Gaffney put up stats with......DAVID CARR. But, on to what you said. Brady made Gaffney look like a pro bowler? He had back to back 100 yard games. That was more than he had all season. Props to him for playing great when it counted, but I never got him confused with Andre Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, or Chad Johnson. Maybe I shouldn't have said Nahh, because me personally I knew about Wayne long before he broke out 3 or 4 years ago. My point was, the average NFL fan did not, just like your argument that noone knew who Jabar Gaffney was. Gaffney was sick in college. Probably should have stayed another year, and yeah he hasn't lived to expectations but who has with David Carr? David Carr isn't going to make a WR like a Peyton, Brady, or Brees is. My point wasn't that Brady doesn't make his WR look better than they really are because he does, Brady is a top notch QB who a team would be lucky to have. It was more of a jab at you acting like Peyton doesn't do the same thing. See : Reggie Wayne, Brandon Stokley, Dallas Clark, *insert any of his targets he's had here minus Harrison* MTH, might have to do with who's coaching... |

I'm too tired now to read all the posts but I'll say this.
Congrats RP and other Colts fans, what a great game to watch, what a great 2nd half comeback and game in general. No excuses, no bad calls to blame, both teams were in positions to win the game, and the Colts did. Good luck in the Superbowl, I think the Colts should beat the Bears, but the way the Bears destroyed the Saints today makes me think it could be a closer game then I originally thought. |

I'll tell you what i really hate right now. And its weird cause i just realised this, but i really hate how bad Dan Marino's name is getting run through the mud. Intentionally or not. Everyone keeps saying stuff like " Manning is trying to not be the Marino of his era ". Like " Whoa you dont want to be like that loser Dan Marino , he sucks "
Dan Marino was amazing and all this Manning cant win the big game , stuff has really shined some unwanted critisicm on Dan Marino's career. Kind of sad. Early thought on the Superbowl. If the Bears get behind early, it could be a blowout. If Rex Grossman has to make plays, the Bears are in trouble. |

next day... same feeling, disapointed, but not crushed... it's not like game 7, 2003 when Boone hit the HR.
The Colts played a great game, the Pats were in position to win, they had the ball, they had time outs, they had good feild position, and they lost. Best quote I heard "At hald time everyone knew it was over, everyone except for the Colts". Good for the Colts. As for the Pats, well, we were a few yds and a few points away from another superbowl apperance, and we have two #1 picks next year. Samuel will be gone, he's an unrestricted free agent, and I think Grahm is a restricted free agent, and with Thomas & Watson, I wouldn't be shocked if they let Grahm get signed and took the compensation. I'll expect the first round picks going defense. CB being a big need and LB someone for depth and to learn the system a year or two behined the guys we have now. |

ESPN Breaking News:
Ride Over: Cowboys' Parcells Retiring Bill Parcells made up his mind: He is leaving the Cowboys. Parcells, who was 34-30 in four seasons in Dallas, says he is retiring from coaching. The Cowboys fell to the Seahawks in a first-round playoff game and have since seen most of their coaching staff leave. Story |

I'm willing to bet legit money that Jimmy Johnson gets rehired for the Cowboys job. I can see this coming from so far away.
Reche Caldwell is horrible, but how do both Caldwell and Brady not know what to do when Caldwell had no one covering him. There wasnt even anyone over the top. The Colts were in the wrong defense. Bathea the saftey, who would normally be over the top in cover 2, was the guy running from the LB position to get to Caldwell as the ball snapped. He took a horrible angle at getting to Caldwell. If Caldwell runs straight up the field and Brady just lofts it up. Caldwell runs right under the ball ( and probably drops it ) with no one withing 10 yards behind him. I guess it was Caldwells fault, but Brady snapped and immediately threw the ball to him. I thought that was lack of communication or experience with eachother. Thats something both guys should have known. I was shocked Caldwell broke it to a short hitch, screen type play. It was a sure TD if he just runs straight up field. Bathea was so horribly out of position. |

Outside of that one play, Caldwell really had a great season. I mean it makes a lot of people forget about the Deion Branch trade that everyone thought was such a horrible move. For as much criticism the Patriots front office took this past off season, the season turned out pretty alright. 4 points away from a Superbowl Still fucking stupid that it is Manning and the gay Colts though but I guess you deserve it if you lose a 21-3 point lead...atleast we get to hear about how Manning calls the plays at the line for the next 2 weeks...HOORAY ![]() |

Jimmy Johnson wont come back to coaching, he doesn't miss it the way the others do, he makes good money and has plenty of free time.
Caldwell, had some bad plays, but without his catch vs. SD the Pats don't go to Indy. Parcells will sit out next season (since if he goes anywhere Dallas gets picks, since he still had 1yr left) then will probably end up as President/GM for the Giants. |

So. Let the debating begin as to who gets the Dallas head coach job. |

Jonathan Joseph got arrested for possession of marijuana
That's nine Bengals arrested for those keeping score at home. This one should be interesting because Marvin said he was cracking down on discipline and he was going to get tougher. Joseph is essentially the future of the Bengals D so we'll see if Marvin has the balls to do anything drastic. |

Man I was thinking that if the Colts didn't win last night and anyone said Peyton Manning couldn't win the big one I'd probably give them the stunner. The dude took his team back to take the lead, he doesn't play every position on the field.
Anyways, kudos to the Colts/Pats, played a hell of a game. |
