Well, they are no worse then the following -

Eric Cantona Vs Crystal Palace

And Andrei Kanchelskis in the 94 cup final dived, but of course you would over look that

McCLair kicking the shit out of the Arsenal player on the floor (I think it was the first season of the Premiership)

And or course, the United players (Inspired by Roy Keane) who chase ref's around the pitch.

You lot are a fucking disgrace, Makelele did no worse then other players, I.E Lee Henderie against Newcastle, that is the latest example of someone play acting. And everygame Ashley Cole plays in he play acts too.
Put your toys back in your pram pal.

Play acting to get players sent off is a disgrace. Make any excuse you want.

Makele was a disgrace.

So was Gudjonsen but for a different reason - he should have had at least 2.

WTF at the commentators CONSTANTLY ripping Veron - sure he wasn't great but the entire team was shit - they basically blamed him for everything. And saying he's rusty yeah probs cos he hasnt played for four months dickheads. I'm not his greatest fan or anythign (hell I dont really care either way for the guy) but he got way too much stick.

Monaco fully deserved it. Absolutely loved Morientes' goal I have to say and then the third well...poor Marco.

Naw Veron was very very poor and he was obviously not fully fit...if he's not fully fit why bring him on in the Champions League semi-final? For that matter why take Gronkjaer off in the first place?

I can bet you he sure as hell won't play in the 2nd leg if everyone is fit

Veron was out of position, and was very creative, he set up our best chanc ein the second half, and look like the only person who could create anything.

If you ask me though, the starting midfield was fine, I would have just brought Eidur off for Jimmy, and Huth on for Melchiot.

If any midfielder came on it should have been Cole. But I think people are being harsh to Seba. Gudjohnsen was much fucking worse.

Wasn't the ideal time to bring Veron on for his first appearance in six months. I'm a big fan of his, but 4 central midfielders on the pitch at once is a bad idea.

I would say the problem lay mostly with Desailly unsettling everyone at the back by being off the pace and a bit shit.

I agree about Desially, he has been rubbish for the past 12 months now. Huth was in charge of the defence against Everton, and Desially just is off the pace now.

Veron came on as a sub against Middlesborough last week, and he was our best midfilder in the 25 minutes he was on. It is his second appearence since injury.

Yeah well, I could ALMOST garuntee that Monaco spend the whole game at Stamford Bridge time wasting. I really don't fancy our chances now.

I think that Monaco will win it.

Woah 91

Anyway yeah well who's fault is it bringing on Veron. Sure as hell ain't Verons. Let's be honest its not like any of the Chelsea players were on their game in the second half - if hes half fit at least he has an excuse. Seriously he would do a wayward pass and all the commentators were all over him whereas all the other shit Chelsea players were doing wasn't half as highlighted.

Ranieri made some bad decisions but Veron should have done better anyway,i mean he gave the ball away on a few occasions near Chelsea's penalty area and hardly made any accurate passes.IMO he was too slow on the ball.

Fair enough it wasn't a good game to bring him into given his fitness levels but they must've been proved, and seeing as it was a big game he should have upped his performance,in his favoured position or not.

One plus is Crespo's form i guess,though i doubt that's much consolation.

Unlucky for Chelsea although i don't think it should be too hard to turn around in the 2nd leg!

Loved the 'Are You Watching Arsenal' chants!!

Taking off Melchiot for a striker was a big mistake - especially at 1-1 when a draw would have been enough! Get rid of Melchiot IMO..he was poor and had a dire game last week against us (i'm a Villa fan - flame me if you will!!)

I do agree with you Rob, what Makelele did was out of order, I'm just saying that United players aren't any better.

Besides, raising your hands is a sending off offence. Look at football365.com, they know their shit, and they like to slate teams as much as they can. The guy deserved toi be sent off, for starting on Makelele and then raising his hand. Makelele was a total disgrace I agree, but the sending off was appropriate.

Yeah lets face it, it was MElchiots goal for the penalty, it was him that conceded a needless throw for the second goal, and it was probably him that didn't close down Hitzspeilger for he third.

Did you watch the Villa Vs Newcastle game on T.V? If so, I'm guessing thats the reason you didn't flame Makelele, what with Lee Henderie being just as bad.

I gotta admit both Hendrie and Makelele deserved to be sent off...Hendrie really needs to calm down, he's not exactly the fans favourite (he's a Birmingham fan for gods sake)..getting sent off isn't going to help him at all!

Its the same with Makelele i guess....he has his 16million price tag to live up to...behaving like this is doing him no favours!!

If a Man United player acted up like Makelele did then I'd be the first to admit he was wrong.

If the sending off was appropriate then where was Makelele's red card? He clearly slapped him in the face before he dived.

What about that Ron Simmons elbow smash? Oops sorry it was Marcel Desially elbowing Fernando Morientes in the face.

followed on by "Portsmouth are playing at home to the worst team in the league that hasn't won away all season, Pompey are undefeated at home, my verdict: 3-0 away win" "Liverpool are playing away to Arsenal, Arsenal are still unbeaten and Liverpool haven't won in their last 6 matches but I think their luck is bound to change, My verdict: 6-0 Liverpool"

You'll think I'm dead, but I sail away says:
"i put this down to thierry henry having a bad few games, him, along with vieira, campbell, toure, lauren and that other guy are the reason i think they'll lose, useless darkies, that's why they're shit at taking corners too, they always build shops there"

El Pricemente says:
ROFL HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

El Pricemente says:

Makelele got what he deserved, so did the Monaco player. I am still annoyed at what Makelele did, but the bloke deserved to go.

So did I and I'm sticking with them too. Half time now and it's still 0-0 so it's looking good for them.

Ooh, I've just been looking back over the thread and... you fibber. After the group stages you were proudly stating that United would whoop them. Inspector Chris strikes again.
