Superstar of the Day #28
![]() Height: 6'2" Hometown: Toronto, Canada Weight: 235lbs Christian, a.k.a Captain Charisma, made his WWE debut in 1997. His first match set the tone for his remarkable career, as he won the WWE Light Heavyweight Championship. Originally part of the Brood, Christian soon decided to partner with Edge and compete in the tag-team division. At WrestleMania 2000, the two etched their place in history by defeating the Hardy Boyz and Dudleys in a thrilling Ladder Match for the World Tag Team Championship. This would not be their last, as they went on to win the Tag Team titles a remarkable seven times. When he joined the Un-Americans in 2002, he won it twice more, once with Lance Storm, and then later won it one more time with Chris Jericho. In addition to his tag-team success, Christian has flourished as a singles performer. At WrestleMania X8, he captured the Hardcore Championship. On September 23, 2001, he defeated Edge for his first Intercontinental Championship. Christian's second Intercontinental Championship reign came on May 18, 2003, at Judgment Day, when he won a Battle Royal featuring past Intercontinental Champions. The third time was when he took it from Booker T in August 2003, a month after Booker and won it from him. In early 2004, Christian stole Chris Jericho's love interest, Trish Stratus, and secured bodyguard Tyson Tomko to serve as an enforcer. Although neither move endeared him to the fans, Christian could care less. In the fall of 2004, he even began a feud with one of the most popular WWE Superstars of all-time: Shawn Michaels. Superstar of the Day #29
![]() Height: 6'2" Hometown: Cameron, NC Weight: 225lbs Matt Hardy began his career on the independent scene with his brother, Jeff. The Hardys quickly earned their way to WWE. Upon arriving, Matt displayed impressive aerial and ground techniques that immediately made him one of the most versatile competitors on RAW. Along with Jeff, Matt Hardy has claimed five World Tag Team Championships. Matt has participated in all of the high-profile TLC (tables, ladders and chairs) Matches, and is known for performing high risk moves without thought or regard for his body. In 2000, Matt Hardy enjoyed a reign as Hardcore Champion, and in 2001, defeated Eddie Guerrero for the European Championship. Alongside Jeff and Lita, Matt helped form the faction Team eXtreme. Matt and Lita remain together, although their on and off relationship as taken a tumultuous turn, as Lita is now pregnant, but unsure of the father. Matt Hardy has taken to her side but warned her not to be seen too close to him, for fear that she may get injured. Now that Matt is etching his place in the stone of singles competition, he continues to entertain fans with his amazing, high-flying ability and his technical mastery of the mat. His trademark hand signal of the V-1 has garnered a fan following for the "Sensei of Mattitude" and fans all over respond to his shout before the Twist of Fate neck breaker and the cheer of "Veeeee-Onnnnnnnaaaaaaah!" Superstar of the Day #30
![]() Height: 5'9" Hometown: Westbrook, ME Weight: 209lbs The neck has healed, the man is back, and the Worm has never looked better. Scotty 2 Hotty is on SmackDown! and has aligned with Rikishi once again. Soon after returning to SmackDown!, he and Rikishi were WWE Tag Team Champions ... proof that Scotty has not lost a step. Scotty 2 Hotty grew up a WWE die-hard. A native of Maine, Scotty regularly attended WWE events at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland and dreamed of the day when he would enter a WWE arena as a superstar. As a junior in High School, Scotty joined WWE and has not looked back since. Known for his success in tag team competition, Scotty can also mix it up on his own, as he proved during his rivalry with Dean Malenko. Their match at Backlash 2000 was considered among the best of that event. The only bump in the road Scotty 2 Hotty has come across was in May 2002 when he had spinal fusion surgery in San Antonio -- a procedure that forced him to miss a year and a half. Upon returning to WWE, Scotty joked that he was inclined to start a stable of wrestlers who all had the same procedure (a group that includes Lita, Rhyno and Chris Benoit) and name that stable, "D-Generated Necks." Now that he is back, Scotty 2 Hotty is stronger than ever, and always entertaining. Whether he is dancing, performing the worm, or scoring victories with Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty has a unique style that has made him a fan favorite. OH MY FUCKING GOD!
On the No Mercy video, Cena does a freestyle rap ![]() Although, seeing as others have said he doesn't during his enterance on WOTD, maybe IGN just edited it in? I say this because he actually mentions IGN in it. |

This was posted by Jeremy over at IGN boards:
I get a lot of questions about this, so I figured that I'll settle it once and for all. The titles that are available in season mode are: RAW: World Heavyweight Championship Interncontinental Championship SmackDown: WWE Championship U.S. Championship That's it. Anything else you want must be created. That's all. Hope that clears up everyone's questions. I really hope you can create tag belts then ![]() |

Right, here are the notes for IGN's No Mercy ppv. The matches which are on the card are:
John Cena vs Booker T Kurt Angle vs Big Show The Undertaker vs JBL Video opens up with a promo skit for Taker vs JBL, shows them exchanging blows etc. JBL looks pretty fucking sweet, apart from the legends, he's the only person left on the countdown I really want to see. Taker seems to get the upper hand in the promo video. Pyro goes off and shows the No Mercy stage, then switches and we see the vs screen for the first match. John Cena vs Booker T - Booker T comes out first. The guys talk about this Booker T being the best looking one. Booker comes down after the pyro and does his taunts. Cena is out next, and cuts a freestyle rap, I'm thinking this has been edited in by the guys. Once Cena finishes it he runs down to the ring and slides in and does his taunts. - Match starts with a last minute warm up animation. Booker is fighting dirty, Cena is fighting clean. They say you can turn off the pre-match animatons if they start to anoy you. Cena hits a backbody drop and a couple of chops before hitting the throw back. They joke about how Booker T wanted the best of 5 series so he could get on tv 5 times. They talk about the features of the L1 button, how it can be used to argue with the ref and hold onto submissions. They remind us that they are using the 100% version, but get distracted when the ref takes a bump. They talk about how its improved from 85-90%. The COM actually attacks more instead of standing around. - Booker T and Cena trade blows whilst the ref is out, T gets the better of Cena and goes for a pin but gets a 2, he argues with the ref and his dirty meter flys up. They get off track and talk about where Stevie Ray is, and how everything "flows" well. Booker T is kicking Cena's ass at the moment and goes for a Smackdown move but gets reversed. Booker T activates his Dirty meter and does the taunt, and hits Cena with a nasty low blow from the front. I noticed that when T hit it, Cena's face meter went down. - Cena eventually battles back and hits the new FU on T, but a rope break puts a stop to the pin. They talk about how good the wrestling games could be for the PS3, and talk about how there could be one more Smackdown game for the PS2. T hits the Scissor Kick on Cena. Cena battles back and hits the throwback on T, which busted him open. They talk abit about how WCW only did two ppv's a year. Cena hits the FU on T, but picks him up again. They think the most improved thing from last year is the submission reversals/break ups. - The match has a 15 minute time limit and the video is 14 minutes in. Cena throws T into the corner and starts a chop battle, which T wins. With 6 seconds to go Booker T hits Cena with the Scissor Kick again, but the time runs out before he can get the pin. They then joke about how it will now have to go to a best of 6. Big Show vs Kurt Angle is next. |

Big Show vs Kurt Angle
- Angle comes out first, followed by Big Show. They talk of how they respect Kurt Angle and take the piss out of how Big Show has still got the same theme music since he started. Jeremy's favourite theme of all time is the old Undertaker music, then the Ministry Undertaker music and Gangrels (which is my favourite). The convo gets interupted by the shove battle between Angle and Show, which Jeremy says is the one which he doesn't like. Show makes a bad shove and Angle gets a good one followed by bad then rolls Show up for a 2. They talk about Warrior selling his championship belt on eBay, after talking how Honky Tonk Man held the IC title for the longest time. - Show and Angle are going back and forth, neither man really getting an advantage. They talk about how bad it can be to book big guys. Big Show is getting the edge over Angle, but he battles back and locks in a couple of submission moves. They talk about how wrestling games can get so much hype from the fans that they always seem better than they are (they use L.O.W as an example). They say that Smackdown vs Raw is the most popular game on IGN, and in the last 2 months the Smackdown vs Raw page has got 20,000,000 hits ![]() - Show is fighting back and goes for a Smackdown move but it gets reversed. Angle then hits back and locks in the Ankle Lock, which Show then reverses. The momentum switchs between the two wrestlers untill Big Show puts Angle in a bearhug, who then taps out after 11:15. Next up is Undertaker vs JBL |

JBL vs Undertaker
- JBL comes out first, he's wearing a white cowboy hat, black bomber jacket and towel round the neck. They talk about how they like Brawl for All, but they couldn't really do much with Bart Gunn after Butterbean knocked him out in a couple of seconds at Wrestlemania XV. They say that Undertaker only has one enterance, after they got lots of emails asking if there is an alternate. They then take the piss out of people who put cheats up like "Press L1, square, X, circle, R1 etc" to get secret stuff. - Undertaker grabs a chair and smacks JBL around, Undertaker hits JBL with the Last Ride on the outside after a minute. They say that they made this match a no dq match, as the Last Ride Match is obviously not in. They talk about how this week they will be revealing some online modes in the next couple of weeks. - Taker is pretty much killing JBL, they are fighting around the ring, using numerous weapons. They talk about how JBL is a stock analysis and has lots of money. JBL goes for a DDT but Undertaker reverses it and hits a Tombstone on the outside for the 3 after 6:04. It goes back to show the No Mercy areana and then fades out. |

Superstar of the Day #31
![]() Height: 6'7" Hometown: Boston, MA Weight: 350lbs As physical a wrestler as you'll ever see, A-Train is a world class athlete that likes to hurt people. A standout football player at the University of Pittsburgh, he signed to play with the San Diego Chargers before turning his focus to sports entertainment. He learned the fundamentals at Killer Kowalski's training camp and began competing in 1997 in the New England area. He made his WWE debut as Prince Albert in 1999, teaming with Darren "Droz" Drozdov. For a time, he competed mainly in tag-team competition, pairing with several different partners. In April 2001, he decided to go solo for a while, simply being called Albert. His decision paid off two months later, when he took a major step forward by defeating Kane for the Intercontinental Championship. After losing the title, he returned to tag-team competition as a favorite of the fans for a few months, but in April 2002, he again decided to focus on singles competition. His mean streak soon returned, and the behemoth let his rage do his talking. He has stormed through challengers like Chris Benoit, the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and John Cena. After competing on SmackDown! for the better part of his career, he now plies his trade on Monday Night RAW. The RAW Superstars will now get to see exactly why it is appropriate that he is called the A-Train. For their sake, they better not stand too close to the track when this runaway locomotive makes a run toward championship gold. Notes on A-Train:
- Steam shoots up on the stage and the bell rings, it must be JBL!....oh wait, no, here comes A-Train ![]() ![]() - The match starts with a Stare Down battle against Chris Benoit, Train gets the first blow in. Just 10 seconds in and A-Train delivers a huge powerbomb which lays out Benoit. He follows up by giving a flapjack after lifting him up on his shoulders. - Train is still on the attack and gives Benoit a running powerbomb, careful Train, thats how your friend got paralysed. Train hits a spinning neckbreaker and connects with an elbow drop off the top. - Train is still on the attack and slams Benoit down with a huge scoop slam. He then throws him across the ring by his neck and plants Benoit down with a verticle suplex. Train hits Benoit with the Train Wreck after 1:57. JR says at the end "Thank god that match ended while people could still" and gets cut off, I'm guessing the next words he said were "keep their eyes open" |

Superstar of the Day #32 ![]() Height: 6' Hometown: Las Vegas, NV Weight: 228lbs One look at Rico and there is no doubt that this man has roots in Las Vegas. With his enormous sideburns, his flamboyant attire, and his outrageous antics, Rico used the Las Vegas lifestyle to develop into one of most colorful characters in WWE history. But don't let Rico's looks deceive you. If you take him lightly, he will find a way to hurt you … or get into your head. He'll use his fast-paced offense that features swift, deadly kicks to defeat you. Rico's in-ring claims to fame included a RAW debut in which he defeated the legendary Ric Flair and a successful managerial stint with the former Three-Minute Warning. Now he has teamed with the sultry Miss Jackie and joined the SmackDown! roster. This can only mean one thing ... continued in-ring success, in Rico's own flamboyant way! But because of his incredible talent and work ethic, RVD's reign at the top may not be far away. While competing for ECW, RVD combined his scintillating martial-arts skills and eye-popping maneuvers to develop a huge following that made his move to WWE enormously successful. At 6 foot, 220 pounds, RVD may not be the largest man in the ring, but he regularly brings the largest fight with him and as a result has excelled against Superstars nearly twice his size. When his alliance with Kane ended with a Chokeslam from the monster, RVD was not deterred to step into the ring with his former partner and hold his own. His quickness, strength, and ability to counter just about any move, combined with an incredible offensive arsenal from inside or above the ring make RVD not only dangerous, but very popular as well. Notes on Rico:
- YOOOOOU LOOOOOK SOOOOO....GOOD TO ME! Rico comes out acting all gay, he taunts at the top of the ramp before struting his stuff on the way to the ring. He climbs in and blows a couple of kisses to the crowd. It would have been better if Miss Jackie was in the game. - Match opens against Chavo Guerrero in a Shoving Contest. After three clean shoves, Rico "wins" it and shoves Chavo down. He follows up winning the shove battle with a gut buster on poor Chavo, he seems to get alot of beatings on the WOTD's. Rico gives Chavo a series of knee's to the head before smacking him down. - An atomic drop by Rico makes Chavo's body turn yellow, and a DDT does the same to his head. Rico climbs up top and lands a twisting corkscrew. Rico hits a nasty mule kick on Chavo, but gets up and lands a dropkick to the knee. Chavo then climbs up and Rico throws him off the top ala Ric Flair stlye. He then does a little gay taunt. - Rico hits some cruiserweight moves before going for a victory roll off Chavo's shoulders. Only gets a 2 though. A swinging neck breaker on Chavo is followed up by a Rico Kick. Rico pins him for the win after 2:13. Rico looks pretty good, his costume is spot on, although his face looks a tad off. but good stuff there. |

Notes on Rob Van Dam:
- BOOM! Pyro goes off as RVD comes out to his Breaking Point music. He walks down to the ring and hi-fives a couple of fans. He rolls into the ring and does his two arm spinning taunt. He then does his classic "Rob...Van...Dam" taunt. - The match opens against John Cena in a test of strength battle. Its hard to see who really gets the upper hand in these, but Cena gets the blow which ends it. RVD hits three kicks in a row, the third levels Cena. RVD picks up Cena and gives him a lifting Pedigree type move. He then hits Cena with a Northern Lights suplex for a 2 count. - RVD grabs Cena by the arm and lands three kicks in sucession. He follows this up with a stiff kick to the face. He then hits a float over suplex before hitting a rolling firemans carry. - RVD taunts abit whilst Cena is down. RVD helps Cena up, but then levels him again with a neckbreaker bomb. RVD whips Cena into the turnbuckle and delivers a huge slam off the top. RVD then climbs up the top rope and hits the Five Star Frog Splash. He pins Cena after 1:54. |

A huge article on the Online Features can be found here thanks to IGN.
The main points are: - There are four different rooms: Amateur, Rookie, Pro, and Legend, depending on how good you think you are. If you are crap go in the Amateur, if you are good, go Pro or Legend. - Owners of chipped PlayStation 2s will not let you past its security feature. - 56K and other dial-up users had better get themselves a better connection; as SmackDown! vs. RAW is only available for broadband users. - You can use Created Wrestlers online - So far you can online select Single matches and Bra and Panties. Hardcore rules or other specialty stipulations cannot be added, however, though you are able to use weapons in a match if you can incapacitate the referee. - There are only 3 areanas you can wrestle in: SmackDown, RAW, or WrestleMania XX. - Defending created belts or participating in created PPVs, are not available online. If you go to the media page, there are videos of the online match they had, and showing you how to set up matches/rooms etc. |
