Wow, that had to be the biggest ending ever for me. There wren';t any titles on the line as far as I'm cocnerned. Me watching wrestling, something I've been loyally watching for over ten years, was on the line in this one. I'm glad Trips was able to pull his head out of the stratusphere for this one night and swallow his pride to give Benoit what he rightfully deserves.

Despite my huge disappointment in Taker's look, I've seen two of the msot unbelievable things I've ever seen in wrestling this night:

1) the crowd during Lesnar/Goldberg
2) Triple H tapping clean for Chris Benoit

My night was totally redeemed with Benoit's victory. I was so banked on Triple H retaining I didn't realize how unbelivable it was going to be when I saw Benoit win with the crossface. Just unbelievable.

If Undertaker was actually the Undertaker and not Taker, Texas Ranger, this would've been the best Wrestlemania ever.

Here's my thoughts:

I've been a wrestling fan since 1990 (I was eight), and have seen every Wrestlemania since then (except 13), and this one was - without a doubt - the worst I've ever seen.

- I'm not sure what that was that "rose" tonight, but it sure as fuck wasn't "The Dead." Literally, the only difference between this Undertaker and the one that got buried alive four months ago was this one had a hat.

- The two Tag Title matches were almost EXACTLY THE SAME. Do us a favor, and condense it to one big eight-team match and save us the extra time.

- Akio never even setting foot in the ring pissed me off to no end. I was looking forward to his appearance more than any of the other cruisers, and the fact that he gets eliminated by the fucking mist...

- The crowd dogging Brock. Good for him for giving them the finger. Somebody mentioned earlier that it was like an ECW crowd, except ECW crowds came for the wrestling. That's absolutely right. I don't blame Brock for not putting his all into the match. Sure, the match sucked, but those fans got exactly what they fucking deserved. If he doesn't want to be there, he shouldn't have to be, just because you want him to be.

- A Playboy Evening Gown Match that TECHNICALLY ended before it started. An Evening Gown Match ends when one participant is stripped of her gown. Before the bell even rang, everyone but Jackie had been stripped, so Jackie and Stacy technically won the match.

- I know I keep coming back to the Cruiser Open (this is what pissed me off most, so forgive me for devoting three "-"s to it), but WTF was up with not including Paul London or any of the RAW cruisers? And that rumored Dean Malenko entrance made me expect even more from a match that, aside from a couple of cool spots, was a major disappointment.

- "Where It All Begins Again" sure looked a hell of a lot like "What We've Been Seeing For The Last Couple Of Years."

RAW and SmackDown are going to have to be hella good this week, or else I may have to do something rash. I never thought I'd walk away from wrestling, but...

PS I'm still going to throw my money towards the indy scene instead of the WWE. It's great that Benoit & Guerrero are champs though!

I mean, I'm for fans doing that. Hell I was laughing at first. I laughed when ECW fans did it, but there's a difference, ECW fans at least tried to enjoy the match, these fans didn't. If I was Brock or Berg I wouldn't have even tried to put on a decent match for them.

Before WM I hadn't seen a WWE show in like the past two months. GOOD LORD what an ending, Guerrero and Benoit mid ring title belts in theor hands. This is surreal.

I can honestly say, I'm glad I did not buy it on PPV for my tv, but rather saved myself the 25 bucks by ordering it online.

Some quick notes that stand out in my mind:

Hard crowd to work with in a bunch of matches, berg/lesnar was a pretty big disaster. Props to both for putting up with the crowd and working through it. Pretty shitty how the fans acted. Judging from some of the responses, it seeemed like there was a ton of hardcore internet fans there :/

Cruiserweight open was a disappointment too. Funaki . Glad Chavo retained though.

Taker's enterance was AWESOME, except I would've liked to have seen paul bearer do some more "urn" stuff. I am and was disappointed in taker's new look, but I think it's a good "hybrid" between oldschool and newschool taker. It'll grow on me, I guess. Interested in seeing what they're going to do with them and kane now.

Chris benoit!!!! Awesome match.

Eddie/Angle!!! Awesome match. Ending shows how sneaky Eddie is

Cena going over

Trips tapping cleanly, another thumbs up.

Orton going over great too.

I suppose I just "overhyped" myself to a mania that I would've enjoyed a bit more. Some great moments though, some shitty ones too :/
