How was he charasmatic though? He came out there in a mask, never talked, never played to the crowd, or anything. Not saying anything bad about Kane, but it's the truth. Besides, the character he played didn't really need to be charasmatic anyways.

Kane was very unpredictable when he first joined WWF. No one knew what his face looked like, what his voice sounded like, and overall what his deal was. His monstrous gimmick itself played the crowd and gave him charisma. I remember always marking out to Kane when he would just randomly appear and beat the shit out of someone in the ring for no reason. Plus Paul Bearer spoke for him and that usually draws well.
