From what I heard, ECW will be merging with either RAW or Smackdown in the Fall anyways.....and so I don't think the WWE will be building it up too much. Even if there was no merger, it wouldn't make sense. ECW is CLEARLY the 'C' show, and putting too much top-tier talent over there would hurt the main brands.

I'd like to see Shelton Benjamin make one of the "main" shows (preferrably RAW).

I was thinking the same thing.

With the WWE Management's heavy bias towards Triple H, I wouldn't completely rule it out.

If D'Lo Brown debuts on Smackdown, I myself am defecting to Smackdown as a fan (I can only watch 1 show per week).

The only thing that MIGHT hold me back, is the fact that Santino Marella is my favourite WWE character (one of my favourites in WWE(F) history).

I read on a recent news report that ECW was going to merge with one of the major brands anyways (sometime in the fall).

Heck - if ECW disbands, perhaps they can have yet another draft to see which brands get what ECW talent.

So that's it? Some of it is a bit surprising, but it sort of makes sense. Kofi Kingston and Matt Striker getting moved remove some ECW talent that helped consist ECW, yes, but can now go towards the flailing mid-cards of other brands.

Perhaps, but I think at this point, the WWE simply does not have the depth to support 3 different brands. ECW's presence only makes RAW and Smackdown look weaker (as opposed to making ECW a "legit" 3rd show).

Personally - I think it would be pretty cool if there was a mid-card "ECW stable" on one of the brands (in light of the show being cancelled).
