Also a valid point, Stallworth's actions didn't raise nearly quite the shit storm that Vick's did. I'm adamantly against what Vick did, but Stallworth killed a human being for fuck's sake.

Well I think it's more about the intent of the actions. Plus plenty of people can say "Shit I've gotten behind the wheel once or twice after a few too many" but not too many people can say "I want to go murder dogs if they don't perform well after I train it to fight and attempt to kill other dogs"

Also since Vick was celebrity so he was used as an example, it works both ways.

Let me make one thing clear. I like Donte Stallworth.

Yes, the guy is an idiot for driving drunk.

However, let's not forget that the guy he killed was jaywalking, basically walking right through the middle of the road.

And I am not condoning this. Stallworth should have gotten MUCH more than he did. However, everyone seems to forget that the guy pretty much just walked right out into the middle of traffic.

Yeah, it seems like the sentence is light because of the jaywalking. Had it been a cross walk, Stallworth would be gone for a long time.

But I still find is amazing that he killed a man, but Mike vick's sentence was 23 times longer...

It's because of the intent, if Stallworth took out a gun and shot the guy in cold blood he wouldn't be getting 30 days in jail no matter how much money he had.

I mean yeah he still killed the guy and should be getting more time but like it's been pointed out he was able to pay off the family.

Honestly, we could dicuss varying aspects of this case until the 2011 offseason. He's beaten the sentence, he's out of work, and the world will contunue to spin.

Being a Ravens fan he played here 1 year (plus a couple games in 07) but he was washed up then and it was actually painful to watch him play most of the time. He'll always be remembered more as a Titan and for SB 34. Still really sucks though.
