i hate when people say shit like this about sports games. Do you expect them to overhaul the entire system after just one year and its initial release? So, despite its good reception in its debut, they should just re-work every aspect of the game?

And its NOT the same as 09, in 09 every transition was A to B, go from guard to half guard. There was no wrist control, no cage presence, no transition system during grappling, no posturing it in any position, etc etc.

so...no, its not. They have re-worked and added (improved) the game.

Generally in terms of sports games, they should take a couple of years out every so often as they will get stale. As this is only the second iteration, there was a lot that could be tweaked for improvements and I feel they have. This is more of a L4D to L4D2 upgrade than an EA Sports "upgrade".

In a few years it will more than likely get stale though, especially if SDvR is anything to go by. Hopefully they do something to stop that from happening.

Career mode is a bit difficult when starting. It's still kinda repetitive. Tearing up Title Mode right now with Lesnar.

This event mode is pretty funny so far. They have "promos" and Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan on commentary. Plays just like a PPV.

My cousin picked up the game today... put it in and yet even though he purchased a copy he still cant play online. He has to pay an extra 5 bucks to play it online. And yes he did purchase a new version.

No - Find code and use it.

Note: The code works as a license like all DLC, the original 360/Online profile will use it, but not another profile on another 360.

It would seem either Alva was lying about the changes and your friend, whose purchases bear strongly on this topic for some reason, is spot on; or Alva's analysis is accurate and your friend merely shares your habit of overreaction in the face of somewhat irrational disappointment. The idea that he didn't have RDR in the first place, choosing instead to purchase a game he didn't vet enough (it had a demo) severely lowers his credibility on the matter, rendering whatever he purchases, returns, and says very nearly moot.

I think thats the reason he and I dont like it, we generally dont play sports games very often for the fact that it takes about 4-5 years for it to feel much different.

Example, I have NHL 08 and NHL 09 that I bought for a total of $10 and there isnt much difference in the players and the play style, just different button layouts.

Anywho, if you guys are into the game I cant change your mind, so enjoy it.

It played exactly the same for me as 2009. Just my opinion. Do you hope everyone comes in here and says it should be GOTY? The thread should be for both those that like the game and why and those who don't and why and to discuss it. From what I played I didn't like, from what you have you do. I have my opinion, based on far less then you, however why continue a game you had little interest in to begin with. You obviously have interest and thus kept playing past the point I did.

I hope you enjoy the game, but for the time I spent playing it. I did not.
