Great game so far, even though i hate Germany they've provided the best attacking moves so far. Been fun to watch. Aussies being whooped is always fun, mind.

Germany are fucking quality. Every tournament, no matter how bad their squad looks - they deliver.

Very impressive. Terrific movement and interplay - didn't see much of Bayern this season but Muller seems like such a smart player. Ozil looked excellent as well.

Australia were absolutely dreadful, I wouldn't get too excited yet about the Germans. Ozil looked very good but Ghana will be much more of a test.

I slept through the game, having attempted to stay through the night for it. Without having seen the game, I'm guessing our tactics were something like park the bus, hoof it forward and hope for Cahill to pop up somewhere

Is there video up anywhere yet? bunch of people going off on fuhbook about Cahill getting sent off, would love to see it myself. Was it fair enough?

Aussies werent parking the bus at all, looked decent enough in attack but rubbish in defence, Germans just outclassed them in every way. Seen some great attacking moves tonight. And cahill got sent off.

My first thought at game speed for the Cahill red card was that it was a very poor tackle and he could get in trouble for it. Replays showed the red card was a bit harsh although I can't blame the ref since I thought red card at first too.

I told you guys Australia would be pants. Dumb cunts in this country don't realise that we should be grateful to just be in the World Cup let alone 'expect' to beat the likes of Germany! Anyway I have been against the national team for the last 6 years due to the way my club has been shafted by the federation so I welcome the result against the Germans and hope Ghana do the same

Capello set a record for shit selections in the USA game. King, Carragher for King, Milner, Wright Phillips for Milner and of course Heskey. To be fair he did set up the goal but what it comes down to is if he gets chances he's almost guaranteed to miss them which is a serious problem when Rooney drops as deep as he did against USA.

I thought Johnson, Cole, Terry, Gerrard and Lennon (although maybe not a good final ball) were the only ones that looked decent. The rest look injured or badly lacking match fitness or form.
