Sorry for the abrupt leaving but was supposed to be out the door 40 mins ago and lost track of time cos of the streak. Think I got to 16 in all. I was having lag issues with hakan for sure but had no lag my end as zangief.

Even more epic, Manny straight smoked my T. Hawk 3-0 in one fight. Like not even close. Also, I discovered the Psycho Punisher > the Raging Slash.

seriously crazy series, even the last match was tied 2 rounds each.

Then my high gets killed when my desktop power supply shits out on me in the middle of my detailed match post. God tonight sucked.

we will set up a time soon Boomer. Im actually gonna be pretty busy myself because im in the process of moving.

Unfortunately it also looks like i may land a job with shitty hours (basically taking up my entire day, getting home 12-2 every night) so my gaming will more than likely decline as well...at least with those i play with on nights.

Nah it was a slaughter. Kalyx wins 5-1. I'll let him post recaps if he likes, but it was nothing really to write home about. I haven't touched Street Fighter since Funky and I played, and I'm woefully out of practice. Wake up ultras all over the place.

Also Kalyx, sorry bout not messaging you back. Soon as I plugged my fightpad in, I couldn't use any directional buttons in the Xbox menu. But it worked in the game itself. Fucking stupid glitch.

The actual matches were good, even if the series looked like a wash. I had fun and liked fighting your Ibuki.

Match 1a

Ken (Kalyx) vs Guy (Blitz)

The connection was terrible but we trucked along. After trading wins the connection dropped completely. We would restart afterward.

Match 1b

Ken (Kalyx) vs Guy (Blitz)

With a much better connection we kicked off our series with some heated exchanges. I forgot how apt Blitz was with Guy and he's certainly a much safer fighter now. Even still I took it, but the matches were good - a tone set for the series. Pulled off a sick series of hits in the corner and was proud of myself.

Ken (Kalyx) wins 3-1

Match 2

Chun Li (Kalyx) vs Cammy (Blitz)

This was a step for me and Chun Li's relationship, taking her out to the tournament. Looks like a double date, too, with Blitz bringing Cammy and making me worry I stepped into a bad match-up. I played it safe and avoided giving Blitz free Canon Spikes. I was happy to see his Cammy didn't capitalize on a few of my mistakes. One-two many whiffed specials helped me out, too.

Chun Li (Kalyx) wins 3-1

Match 3

Ken (Kalyx) vs Ibuki (Blitz)

HOT DAMN. This was a tense match. Ibuki was too fast for some of my approaches and I adjusted after Blitz' Ibuki seemed to have my number. After the first match I incorporated more fire balls and Shoryu's to keep the ninja bitch away. Blitz pulled some stunts that had me worried. Highly recommend watching the replay.

Pretty much punishing Guy's whiffed moves and played it safe.

Match 5

Chun Li (Kalyx) vs Ibuki (Blitz)

Swerve. Thinking my Chun Li had the tools to keep Ibuki out, Blitz carefully picks me apart each round. There was a rather of hilarious case of KOcide by Blitz, but he ended up taking the match overall. Very close fight, and Blitz keeps the series alive.

Ibuki (Blitz) wins 2-3

Match 6

Ken (Blitz) vs Sakura (Kalyx)

With Ibuki and Guy used up, I was fairly confident Blitz had no answer for my Sakura. Blitz caught me with more Shoryus then I should have allowed, but EX Senpuu combos ftw.

Sakura (Kalyx) wins 1-3

A very good series. Don't the '3-1's fool you, they were mostly great matches with cool moments and finishes. Blitz is a good Guy and his Ibuki is becoming a bitch.

I dunno. I see Blitz taking the series 5-3. Drakul's Zangief is damn near unstoppable, but Blitz uses both Cammy and Ibuki. Fucking great low and inside. Outside of a couple of other guys, I don't know what Drakul's cooking up.
