Its a pretty good idea to mix up the normal East vs West and all-star games have always been about great offense but the goalies are not even trying to do anything in the game.

The Skills Competition was pretty cool actually this year. I'd love an all stars vs Stanley Cup Winner game like the NHL used to do.

I'm pretty sure when the NHL used to do that format it was pretty even. I think it'd be more intense because for example, if the Pens won the cup and played you'd have guys like Asham and Rupp who only really know how to play gritty and it'd kinda more a point of pride to have your regular team beat an all star team.

I thought the Skills Show was fun and cool. Poorly presented.

I like the twist it adds with the Fantasy draft. Seeing the Sedins on other teams was cool. AS was seeing guys play their own goalie in the skills comp.

but then they will turn around and suspend players for hits when there was no penalty on the play to begin with?

I'm not saying the players who got the suspensions didn't deserve them. But come the fuck on... at least try to maintain consistency with your fucking rules. No wonder this game is in total disarray.

I don't know what your obsession is with Crosby, but of course he wasn't going to criticize when his teammate did it. Even if he didn't approve, openly criticizing a teammate has always been frowned upon in the NHL. That's the same reason why Sean Avery can still be the biggest asshole in the NHL and his teammates never complain.
