5-2 loss to Tampa Bay.

Bruins (mostly the D and Thomas in the 1st) were horrible and "flat" against the Lightning. Only good part was Seguin nice goal in the 1st and getting the defender to trip up during the move.

I thought the 8 days off would have hurt the fast-paced style of the Lightning more than the Bruins but then Tampa scored 3 goals in under 90 seconds while the Bruins were sloppy to start the game.

Don't blame the D and Thomas, blame the fact Krejci is the only guy on the team who is really good at face-offs and he wasnt tonight.

Bergeron missing is a HUGE loss for them.

Looks like it might have been suicide.


Boogaard, who was sidelined for the season after just 22 games when he sustained a concussion in Ottawa on Dec. 9 in a fight with Matt Carkner, was given permission by management to leave the team with approximately a week to go in the regular season in order to receive counseling to help him deal with unspecified issues.

They say it was substance abuse. Don't know what exactly. They say he was going through depression. Laraque said that he was told by NYR to take a year off

Blaming the refs is never an excuse.

I've bitched about calls before, but the outcome is decided by the players, not the refs.

Game 1 specifically, Ben Eager got a hooking or interference penalty that was a weak call. That's hardly a "major part" of deciding the game. I am sure the Nucks will get a weak call against them through out the series too. It's how teams respond to questionable calls that determines the outcome, not the calls themselves.

I don't even know why I'm arguing because at the end of the day I don't really care about your posts. The Sharks will make necessary adjustments, and we'll have a series.

Bruins 6-5 win and Seguin was amazing again (2 goals, 1 assist).

Thomas needs to stop being a bit sloppy and letting in easy goals while the offense bailed him out big time. To be fair, he also had a lot of big saves as usual.

That interference call was bullshit but turned out to not mean anything other than the Lightning having to kill a penalty while being a goal down. I thought they were gonna sneak one in there at the end, though.

Good part is the Nucks are up 2-0 going into the HP Pavillion. Even if they can take that series 1-1, they will still be up 3-1 going back to the old GM Place

Bad part is we have already seen the the worst game the Sharks are going to play this series. Nowhere to go but up for the Sharks after this one.

Nucks should enjoy the win...but be careful at the same time.

Some radio host down in Tampa started bitching about the Bruins Hockey Rules signs that piss on lightning fans. By encouraging people to call the B's marketing department and call them all fags (not exaggerating) he got them taken down which is a shame, not only because he's more gutless than Marleau for his methods but they were pretty funny - regardless of where your allegiances lie.
