what a cluster-fuck for an ending. Cena "ruins" what could have been a good match by going overboard and also killed off their hype of 1 team eliminated.

I get the idea of Cena being upset with both Barrett and Punk but they over did it and also ruined a potential mini-brawl during the Rumble.

At least the tradition of the real cluster-fuck of the pre-Rumble brawl was kept in tact and Raw itself was good overall.

Fucking annoys me every single time they hype a stip all night and then don't follow through. The Nexus rushing out and invading the Rumble despite not being in it would have been cool.

Raw brought back memories of the old WCW Days.. Not with the old wrestlers (has beens now on TNA) but the angles.

The NexSES vs The Corre vs Cena was a clear resemblence of NWO vs WolfPac vs Goldberg in my eyes.

I just marked out all over my desk.

wrestling in general has been watchable again

remember back in 2003 or whatever, all we would do is complain?

the stable wars has revitalized everything

and it seems like we will see all superstars on both RAW and SD! just like in 1999 before the roster split in 2002. I know it's just for the Rumble, but I can see them slowly transitioning into having us see the entire roster twice a week. Especially that they trimmed all the fat with all the future endeavored class of 2010

Just finished watching. Decent RAW. Honestly wasn't that impressed with Edge vs. Miz. It was okay, but nothing great and expected a lot more. Also, a world champion vs. world champion match should NEVER take second place to anything, let alone be put on in the middle of a show.

Completely skipped Nexus vs. Kozlov and Santino. Have no desire to see the latter team in the ring ever again.

The main event I'll take as an angle. I was really pumped for the match itself, and I think they could have easily accomplished the same thing with Cena interfering and the GM saying they're both in the Rumble, but this is WWE.

That said, as Lara said, I want to see Cena get destroyed. I absolutely hated Cena's role in it. I get why they did it, and as I take it as an angle it's not terrible and it does add suspense to a REAL Punk vs Barrett or Nexus vs. Corre match, but fucking hell.

Like I said, they should have just had Cena come out to observe the match and have something lead to Cena screwing them both.

And another thing I just thought of as I was typing this. Cena doing what he did was a pretty fucking cowardly thing to do. That's the type of thing a chickenshit heel should be doing, not your almighty Superman. And no, I'm not condoning Superman booking, but be consistent.

With what Punk has been saying about Cena, it makes sense that Cena would pull what he did. It gives Punk more ammo for his promo next week or whenever.

Yeah I almost feel like with Punk and Barrett they are becoming a sort of Bret Hart heel in the US/face everywhere else kinda thing only with you know smarks (face) and marks (heel). I just wonder if this isn't in some ways on purpose of if the WWE creative team just sucks that badly.

Dunno how it came across on TV, but live the pop for Orton was deafening. One of the loudest pops I've ever heard in the Joe. Had no idea he was that over as a face.

This was a pretty good show.

I'm also wondering about the PG references. They used to be sprinkled in, but now they seem to be every week. It even played into the finish to tonight's match. I'm not saying they're going to change, but the "PG Sucks" thing is something that's pretty big with the IWC and smarks in general. I don't know if it's to get over with those fans or piss them off even more, in almost a mocking way.

Yeah I can't figure out if they're trying to placate us and entertain the PG kids and shit or if they just flat out hate us so they're basically laughing in our faces. And not only that I agree with Xero it makes Cena look like a coward, by trying to remove Nexus and Corre from the Rumble he's basically saying he's afraid of them and wannts an easier road to winning the Rumble. Cena's supposed to be some guy with honour and intgrity, he should be saying that he doesn't care if Nexus or Corre are in the Rumble cause he's better then them, in fact he should want them there so he can beat them himself. HNot take the cowardly way out ansd screw them both over, total chickenshit heel tactic. The RAW GM focing Cena to apologize and overturning his ruling just felt like a total face moment.

Thanks to the tireless saints who, week after week, allow me to have my wrestling fix via YouTube since I usually have to work when the shows air. Late to the party, I'm about to START watching RAW right now.

I must admit, I know the joke is old, but the following vid has ruined my brain as far as the opening bump goes.



I ALWAYS expect the Booker T part, even though I logically know better. For the record, I've also ruined Busta Rhymes' "Break Ya Neck" with thoughts of Dave Chappelle's Rick James impersonation, and the song is now known as "Fuck Ya Couch".

I have problems. ^_^

I went to the show tonight, and it was actually a really fun show to be at. Even if the product isnt that good, I still enjoy the live events, and this was a solid show all around. Really wanted Cena to get beat down by both stables, but Big Show and his crew had to ruin that.

Though maybe the best part of the entire night wasnt even televised. Before the main event Punk came out and said he wanted silence. Well of course the crowd refused, so he said "Ok, u asked for it". So he plays video of Derrick Bateman's vignette on selling "Worlds Strongest Man" with cricket noises. I have never seen a crowd die so quicky. Just proves that Punk is the man.

And on the other side of that, Orton's pop was just ridiculous. He always seems to have a big reaction in Detroit anyways, but tonights was the loudest I have heard in a while.

Yeah I really should have taken video of that now lol. I haven't even watched NXT lately so I didn't even know what the "Worlds Strongest Man" product was and I was laughing too much at how dead the crowd actually got just seconds after the video started playing. Wish I would have been closer to ringside to bow down to Punk on that one.

I'm sad they let Otunga talk again, days after I gave them credit for shutting him up once CM Punk took over and brainwashed them. Absolutely none of them should talk other than Punk, not just because Otunga and co suck on the mic but because it fits the gimmick of New Nexus.

Overall I thought the show was solid for a go-home show. I really wanted to get into the Miz/Edge match, but I just couldn't. Not that it was bad, but I just didn't feel drawn in.

They killed the Daniel Bryan storyline pretty quickly, and I'm curious to see what they have planned for him now that's got the Bella's off of him.

Cena as the ref in the main event was a bit overkill. I get what they're trying to do, but he was just a little too obnoxious this week.

Thought last week's show was better to be honest.

Wishful thinking:

Bellas are pissed and "hire" Amazing Kong (or "Pale Rider", as her name would become according to a WWE name generator I just used). Kim and Kong re-ignite their feud from TNA. This effectively presents Kong to the 'E masses and results in putting Gail in matches other than 6 Diva tags where she doesn't even enter the ring. This causes that whole lot of nothing that Bella angle was to actually lead somewhere, stops getting Gail buired on the roster, and turns the twins into mastermind heels. Yeah, it is short sighted for what to do with Kong, but would make me happy.

Addendum: ... furthermore, the Bellas hire a boy-toy to take out Bryan. In light of his current SD! angle, they remove Kelly from the Drew-Mac equation, since they are now mastermind heels, and don't mind him hurting people. Feud starts over US title. Even better: they do something like interject themselves into Ted Jr's life, and he begins to win again, and they convince him to kick Maryse to the curb. We get DiBiase with hot heel twins and an eventual singles title due to interference from women scorned, sets Maryse up for something else to do besides keep bickering with Ted, and Ted's money can be the catylist for the scenario above for the "hiring" of Kong to take out Gail Kim.

Wouldn't mind seeing DiBiase dump Maryse for the Twins. It'd give him a little more momentum and more of a reason to feud with Bryan.

This and if it lead to DiBiase ending his losing streak and capturing the US Championship then so be it even though they've split I couldn't help think that Maryse should join Miz and Alex Riley cuz they are "winners".

It almost feels like Daniel Bryan should be the one going heel, I mean the Bellas just really liked him and he strung them along because he felt sorry for them or something. Total asshole thing to do. Then again this is WWE treating women like shit is often a face thing so what do I know lol.
