I'm one of the most critical of the writing and production around here, but overall I'm glad I went ahead and paid for this Mania. Was it perfect or as good/better than other past Mania's? No, but I really didn't expect it to be. I honestly expected to be disappointed and get a worse Mania than what we got. Sure there were flaws, no doubt, but I enjoyed it overall.

The thing that made me want to buy it was not just the card or any quality matches by themselves, but the writing and the build up to the matches on the card. I loved the writing, promos and build up to Lawler vs Cole, Cena vs Miz and Taker vs HHH. The other matches on the card like Edge vs Del Rio, the mixed tag, and Orton vs Punk I wasn't necessarily looking forward to from a writing/build up perspective, but from a quality/entertaining match perspective.

ugh..I don't know I feel about this Mania. Hit or Miss.
Some good decisions and some bad ones. Weird pacing. Some stuff was not necessary like making the 8 man tag so fucking short. Def. liked the ending. Pissed that Del Rio did not win because I am a fucking mark.

That HHH/Taker match was pretty terrible. Did not "have" me until pretty much the end of the match with HHH doing the tombstone.

Match of the night was by far Cody Rhodes/Rey Mysterio. Cody Rhodes put in the performance of the night in m opinion... which is astounding.

Edge/Del Rio was a good match too, but I give Cody/Rey the honors over it.

Pretty average Wrestlemania that felt more like an extra long RAW episode or regular ppv instead of being the main ppv for the year but mostly due to pacing problems similar to last year's Mania.

Not counting the IC title match not being televised, the 8-man tag match shouldn't have ended up as the shortest match of the night and felt like a throw-away match.

I did like the title matches, the ending to Mania, and most of Lawler vs Cole. The ending to Taker-HHH was also good considering the transition of Taker barely avoiding a loss with HBK to tonight barely able to move after his brutal fight with Triple H.

This is exactly how I felt as I was watching it and I feel the same way this morning. There were a few great things about Mania, including the Taker/Triple H match, but overall I am disappointed with the show and I don't think it lived up to the hype at all. It pains me to say it, because I've been a fan of the WWE longer than some people here have been on this planet, but it's honestly how I feel. The Cena/Miz match blew big time, especially the ending. This was the first time that a WrestleMania disappointed me.

Quite disappointed with the midcard, to be honest, but the start and finish were fun as hell to be a part of. Had no real quarrels with Cole v Lawler, but I was too far away to see any botches Cole may have made, didn't seem too long; and the reversed finish was just so dumb I found it funny. No way Cole should have "won".

its the fact that she isnt a "superstar" and she pulled that handspring thing off pretty damn flawlessly. everyone expected her to be a fat sack of chud but she showed she was athletic to some point. after seeing that, i would deff let her show me her athleticism in the bedroom, but lights would still be off.

About the reversed finish, and relating to The Rock ignoring the GM in the end: I think they are going to reveal the GM pretty soon. Hence the increased "heelish" activity and interaction.

I'm not one to bitch that often but it's Mania.

First off.

Why the hell change the end of Lawler-Cole? What does Cole get by getting that decision reversed? Give Lawler the moment he earned. The hell.

I know some will disagree but I hated the end of that. It should have been left with Miz standing in the ring. Puts him over ever more as a Heel Champion. Unless the Rock is staying for a long period of time it was pointless.

Also pissed they took Sheamus/Bryan off basically due to the long boring Rock promo at the start. That could have been a great, a solid at the very least match.

I'm all for respecting the legends, but at the same time, the business is bigger than one person and their "moment". Lawler got the true victory anyway (Austin didn't really even do anything to Cole physically) when Cole tapped out, and finally got his well deserved Wrestlemania match/moment, which I was glad to see, even if it wasn't an "official" victory. I'm betting they're going to continue the Cole vs Lawler storyline and we may see Lawler get an official victory over Cole in the future.

By the way, I probably did cross the line with the name calling earlier and I'm big enough to admit that and apologize for it. I just felt like they gave Lawler a cool WM moment and a true victory and then went on to further the storyline with a reverse decision by the GM.

Yeah, Lawler losing his first (and probably only) WM match was one of the many disappointing parts of the show, IMO. For the life of me, I don't understand why he was screwed like that.

How am I caricature, I layed out what I liked and what I didn't. The fact is for a WrestleMania, for the so called show case of the immortals, for the Granddaddy of them all, it blew.

It started off great Edge/ADR and Rey/Cody were great matches, it just dropped off a mountain after that with the exception of Punk/Orton being decent and HHH/Taker having some solid moments spread out over 30 mins of rest and spot fest but all in all nothing was a classic and it didn't have a single honest to god Wrestlemania moment

I really don't see how this card could have delivered anymore than it did. Card order was perfect, each match was given time (except for an 8-man tag that no one cares about), and every match was enjoyable.
