From when they were calling England "the new Lisbon Lions", I wanted them to lose.

Said it before, said it last night to Owen and we'll keep on saying it - Erikkson hasn't got a clue. He is tactically naive. Aside from a double in Italy where he spent over £80 million in one year and nearly killed Lazio, he has done nothing in football. He can't be trusted. Remember whn he accepted the Blackburn job years ago only to go back on his word and bankrupt Lazio instead?

Don't care how well they played or how tired they were - If you take off 3 of your best 4 players against arguably the best team in the world, you're gonna pay. Do you think France would sub Henry, Zidane and Trez in the same position?

Scholesy was injured, Owen was shit, but he should never have taken Rooney off.

Erikkson reminds me of Ranieri, tactically shit, only time he did anything at Chelsea was after spending over £100million.

Also, you saying you said it last night to 'Owen' makes it sound like you mean Michael Owen and not RBF.

Yeah sitting back was stupid, we were asking for trouble by relaxing on a one nil lead, we should only have done that had Beckham converted his penalty.

You can't judge teams because of one performance, OK I didn't see the game, but Croatia still worry me.

Denmark 0-0 Italy finished.

Much better game that the Croatia/Switzerland draw and Denmark were quite unlucky. Both keepers were class though.

This is LC. Yeah, today's game was alright, a few chances for each team and some nice saves by each keeper. I thought Italy would play a little better though. Well, at least I got to see the game and see one of my favorites(Vieri)

Yeah do you remember the time that with 20 minutes to go you were 2-1 up against Chelsea? And then we equalised, and then we scored again, and again and again, and won 5-2.

Sweden have played well, earlier on I tried to talk The Duck out of better on Larsson being the top goalscorer and Sweden qualifying from their group .

Not really. Man United pushed and battled and practically dominated that game for 89 minutes and deserved the win. England scored a goal and sat on it like Bayern did but remember this wasn't the final. England will still qualify. I think they could still make the semis.

Isn't it ironic, when England play well like they did against France they end up loosing but then when they play teams like Slovakia and Macedonia they play rather poorly but they can still grind out results.

Did we watch the same game? Bayern were by a long, long way the better side in that final. They should have wrapped the game up. Effenberg hit the bar, from what I remember, and Scholl hit the post.

I certainly remember United being very poor in that final, Bayern just couldn't get a second goal and it cost them.

This game is turning out to be alright.Stoichkov said that Martin Petrov could be the new umm...Stoichkov, and he's looked quite good down the left.Sweden haven't looked as good defensively as normal but they have a good attack,i think them and Denmark are pretty underrated.

most of the members of the team that got Croatia so far in the World Cup in 98 are gone now. The current squad isn't nearly as good, sure they've got some good players but nothing that should worry England, plus Pletikosa has injured himself and that'll be a big blow for them.

The only thing that would worry me is if we were over confident and they got us, as it is, we've all been brought back down to earth and I shouldnt have thought we'd be too cocky going into it.

I realise it wasn't in the knockout stage so it's not so bad, but it still must be painful to lose like that when just a couple of minutes earlier you were looking forward to celebrate a victory over the 2nd best team in the world in a competitive match.

Come on Latvia, not that I like them but I have said all along that the Czech's suck, you would have all believed me if they lost. I know they have been the better team but have been really piss poor at finishing, Baros missed a sitter, Nedved had a cracker which the keeper saved, but Koller has been shit. Still, the Czech's aint going through, sorry to dissapoint. I wouldn't be suprised if they cam above Holland and qualifyed, because Holland are also shit, but I think the Czech's are worse.

LOL I was thinking the same thing bout Hetlinga, I only noticed it after they gave away the second free kick in a similar position to the first.

Both teams should go through no problem if they play like they did today. There wasn't much in the game and it was a fair result.

Both teams should go through no problem if they play like they did today. There wasn't much in the game and it was a fair result.
Lol, it's the same time I thought it.

Germany really suprised me, and I thought Holland were truly average.

If the Czech's can put the ball in the net next time, I'd expect them to go through. Besides, they have to beat one of them, and they're through.

Czech's arent going through based on a performance like today, Pborbsky can't carry them through single handedly.

Holland were shit first half, but once Van Hjodoink came on he turned it around, they are blatently going to start with Nistelrooy and Hjoidoink up front, and if they play Overmars and Zenden as wingers (one will have to play right wing obviously, I am aware they are both left wingers) and have Davids and Van Der Vaart (cheater) in the centre, they have a good team attacking. Stam is abit dodgy but he gets away with it.

Germany played well, and if that 19 year old (came on as a sub) would pass abit more he would be the man. I would be shocked if Germany didn't qualify.

Yeah I thought the same thing about the German kid, he was great but he tried to do too much most of the time.

that would really suck if Portugal loses. The crowd wouldn't be as hot for the rest of the games cause they would all be pissed. I'm definately pulling for Portugal today.
