I want to go to a Raiders game one day but I don't want to get stabbed with a rusty sprinkler key. Conflicted.

I never "got" the armor really. Aren't they supposed to be pirates? Why is everybody sporting medieval protection?

The results of the game of chicken between the New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees.................the Saints flinched.
Saints and Drew Brees agree. 5-years, $100 mil., $60 mil. guaranteed. New records. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand go. |

Ravens and Ray Rice agree to a new 5 year, $40 million extension. Had Ray Rice rejected the offer, Ravens would have used their tag on him for $7.7 million next year.
Bears and Matt Forte agree to a new 4 year, $32 million with the Bears prepared to tag him had he rejected it ($7.49 million). |

Now we wait for Jones-Drew to get a new deal. Scobee got his so I guess that means the Ding Dynasty is over before it even gets a chance to shine.

Met Trumaine Johnson today at the rec center, he started randomly running on the treadmill next to me. Definitely sweet, talked to him for a bit and even got a pic with him.

Dashing Goldson and the 9ers couldn't reach a long term deal for this season so he'll be working under the franchise tag. I can see why he feels like he deserves it, but maybe he should play one more solid year without knocking out any of his own teammates.

Then what happens if he hurts himself? Will your beloved team pay his ass then? The Franchise tag is pure shit.

Well, apparently they offered him a couple options for a long term deal but it wasn't up to snuff. He's been a great asset to us but he's also made quite a bit of mistakes. One of those mistakes probably cost us the NFC Championship. I can see why we aren't keen on pumping unlimited money into the guy.

Alex Smith throwing the ball straight into the ground cost the 49ers the NFC Championship.
I've said this anytime I've discussed that game but if the 49ers had a quarterback I don't think the Giants even get close. |

Well yeah, but in the context of the game, that was a pretty costly mistake that could've maybe led to victory if it had happened the other way. Same thing with the Kyle Williams stuff. They aren't the reasons we lost... But we still might've won had they not happened.

If Michael Crabtree wasn't such a pussy who couldn't finish a game/season, then the backup who fumbled punt returns wouldn't cost them the game

If Kyle Williams just called a fair catch, the fumble doesn't occur.
He barely got any space to run because of the excellent Giants return coverage and the field is pretty muddy that he slips after running a bit which helped cause the fumble to occur. |

Yeah, pretty much. Everyone goes "you can't blame Kyle Williams because Alex Smith didn't convert a 3rd down the entire game." Which is a valid point. The point still stands though that we probably would've won had Kyle Williams not totally fucked up. Again, not the reason we lost per say in the grand scheme of things, but we still probably would've won had he not done that. Situational context is important.

But, what I took away from the game, was how many times Alex Smith just made a poor throw/play. I think the 49ers could have put that game away on a few different drives. Then again... ELI MANNING |

Time to get my fantasy draft ready. I'm in a 2 keeper league and I'm definately keeping Cam Newton, but I don't know who to keep between Steve Smith (Panthers) and Andre Johnson.

If you have Newton probably a good idea to keep Smith over Johnson considering I believe Smith was Newton's #1 target for TDs (1/3 of all the TD passes Newton had) although Johnson did have a down year and Newton ate up a lot of the team's TDs from rushing instead of passing.

I think calling The Eagles a dynasty is a joke. Especially the Michael Vick lead Eagles.
However I do believe The Eagles are going to be really good this year. I don't remember what I thought about them last year. I might have thought the same thing last year and if I did that would classify as a big failure. I do believe they are a legit Super Bowl contender this year. If they don't get to the NFC championship game then Andy Reid can't be brought back. |

You keep Johnson. Make Smith a priority to draft. Its not like he's going in the first round.

Also, I'm looking at my team setup like this, if all goes right that is. QB-Cam Newton QB-Matt Schaub RB-Matt Forte RB-Fred Jackson RB-Jamal Charles RB-Rashard Jennings WR-Andre Johnson WR-Steve Smith (Panthers) WR-Eric FUCKING Decker WR-Antonio Brown TE-Rob Gronkowski TE-Vernon Davis K-Josh Scobee K-Matt Prater DST-Ravens DST-Jaguars Granted that's if none of these guys get snagged first. My biggest issue is that I suck at drafting running backs. Every year I get maybe 1 good one in the draft, but the other three always either get hurt or don't play and I'm stuck playing the waiver wire. Any suggestions for RB's RP? |

Saints finally signed Drew Brees.. Even with the off the field bs this year, I'm still very optimistic.. |
