An absolutely fantastic Raw tonight and a great way to celebrate it's 1000th episode. I loved the Heel turn from CM Punk. I really didn't see it coming.

I only have two problems with Raw tonight though....

1. AJ being made Raw GM.

2. No Austin.

Everything else. Fantastic.

No Bats or Austin (especially Austin) is kind of mind boggling. Towards the end when Slater came out I was figuring he was gonna get a stunner.

Also, AJ as GM is kinda for me.

Otherwise, great RAW. Lots of fan service tonight. Lot of mark out moments for me.

Very fun show overall. My only gripe was there not being a battle royal or something with a bunch of obscure midcarders from the past few years. Not a big deal or anything - I just loved the one they had at the Raw 15th anniversary because there were a lot of guys you don't normally associate with a nostalgia show. Maybe they'll do that for the 20th anniversary which will officially be happening soon.

in terms of Austin, maybe he turned it down/it was never on the cards. Bigger impact if he shows up "down the road" and odds are new heel CM Punk is going to need a WrestleMania opponent

absolutely would have, would have been too much. That ending put Punk smack bang in the spotlight, doesn't come off half as well if he's lying on the ground while Austin drinks beer. They have long term plans in motion in terms of Rock/Cena by the looks of it, if Austin/Punk happens it can be built up in the regular Rumble-to-Mania build amount of time (or any amount of time from here onwards)

I agree. Doesnt mean he couldnt have been on the card earlier. Hes the biggest Raw star ever (Not going to argue the rock) and I think he should have showed even in a smaller roll. I saw Swoggle and Santino on my screen for 5 wasted minutes.

Austin has said that if he was to have one more match, it'd be against Punk.

So I truly believe that Austin not appearing tonight (not even in a pre-recorded video message) was done so the focus would be on Punk's heel turn, and WWE decided to keep Austin "cool", so when he does in fact return for an angle with Punk, it'll just be madness because the WWE Universe hasn't seen him in so long.

Spot on. I'm disappointed right now not to have seen him tonight but in a couple of months his return will be class and we'll be glad he wasn't there tonight. This suddenly explains the random Austin/McMahon package they decided to air. He had to have some mention.

I loved the Punk turn. I loved alot.

For the 100th raw, drop the clay Squash, drop some other garbge, give me a few more legnends. And how you dont have Austin, I dont get it. Even in the Slater Segment. let him come out leading the legends. Something. NOT NOTHING.

Great show. I was just shocked they'd end the 1000th Raw all dull and gloomy like that. When Punk had Rock on his shoulders or when he was just stood in the ring for ages after it I was just waiting for the glass to shatter. Stunner to Punk, beer drinking, close the show in a celebratory fashion, and sets up Punk vs Austin for Wrestlemania. A 1000th episode of Raw without Austin? Damn. Otherwise, fantastic show from top to bottom. Pretty much met my expectations so I'm satisfied.

I was hoping for Blackman, and random midcarders too. Not goign to trash it or be that guy, just wasnt hoping for more. But I sort of get them using the platform for their current talent.
