The patriots would feel funny if he somehow is exonerated of the charges and is able to play this year, butiI have a feeling that even if he somehow avoids charges and jail time, the NFL will still suspend him.

Wouldn't be surprised considering the NFL already has the precedent to suspend players regardless of their legal situation. If he does get suspended while the legal charges are dropped, its going to be due to him destroying potential evidence.

According to the news from the courthouse Hernandez was charged with 1st degree murder, firearm w/o license, possessing high capacity firearm (2 counts), and possessing firearm w/o FID card (2). Also got denied bail due to being a high risk of fleeing the area.

The obstruction charges got dropped after the DA said the evidence wasn't destroyed.
