Yeah! 100 CAW slots I'll never ever use because they've made CAW too longwinded, dull and time consuming since SvR! Hurray! Probably still can't pit my CAWs against my brothers CAWs even though we're on the same damn machine! Woohoo!

Used to love CAW so much I'd fill every slot and often have to delete people to make new ones. Now it sucks and I barely, if ever, finish just one.

It's not just the physical side, it's the moveset side aswell. Feels like it's a never ending list of moves and situations to sort out.

If we could have my CAW and my brothers CAW fight each other, maybe I'd be more motivated to actually finish making them. That's all I ask every single year.

Can't you just upload them then download them using the two accounts?

The creation suite announcements are pretty sweet.

Loving the idea of superstar heads, just a shame its limited to so few superstars. Bigger choice next year though I'm guessing.

They didn't touch on it, but I wonder if you can edit hair in heads?

Scratch that, they showed the bit where it normally is, and it's limited to upper, lower and templates.

WWE 2K14’s Streak Mode
By Aubrey Sitterson on Oct 14, 201321 Comments

In nearly three decades of WrestleMania, there is one record that stands alone: Undertaker’s legendary undefeated streak. Now, we’re paying homage to The Deadman’s unprecedented run at the Grandest Spectacle in Entertainment with WWE 2K14’s brand-new Streak Mode, part of the 30 Years of WrestleMania experience.

Within the Streak Mode, you’ll have the option to either defend Undertaker’s legendary streak, or try your hand at defeating it. Find out how each option works below, then scroll down for screenshots of the game mode dedicated to The Phenom himself, Undertaker.

Defend the Streak
•Choose whether to use Undertaker or Undertaker (Retro)
•Defend The Phenom’s legacy in a non-stop, slobberknocker-style contest
•Raise your score by defeating as many Superstars and Legends in a row as you can
•Upload you results and scores online to prove how dominant you are

Defeat the Streak
•Choose any Superstar or Legend on the WWE 2K14 roster
•Select Undertaker or Undertaker (Retro)
•Face off against The Deadman upon the Grandest Stage of Them All
•Try to defeat Undertaker and his arsenal of special abilities seen only inside this mode
•Show off to the rest of the WWE Universe by uploading your results and high scores online

Interesting. While not confirmed for the roster, or as DLC, it appears that Mr. Perfect is ringside w/ Flair in Macho Man's entrance.

I'm just assuming that "special powers" means he can't be pinned until he is all red damage, been hit with 10 finishers, and has a silver spike shoved up his ass.

We shouldn't have to do that. If we did, that would mean both of us having gold and my brother isn't going to spend a minimum of a £5 or £6 to download my characters.
It really isn't asking too much that they let us access both.

"Too much of a good thing" and all that. I love customisation. There are games in the past I bought purely for the customisation.
The main issue is the moveset. Something crazy like 85 different situations to select moves in and 300 moves to choose from. Those numbers are likely inaccurate but you get the idea.

If I have 45 minutes to kill, I can throw togethor a character...then I remember I have to spend 2 and a half hours sifting through move after move after move. That gets boring after you do the first 5 moves.

If I had motivation to do it, like fighting my brothers CAWs or some kind of online that worked and was fun, maybe I'd finish the movesets.
I know I can copy another wrestlers moveset but then it's not really my CAW, it's a new skin for Kane/Undertaker/Big Show etc.

Back on the physical side of CAW, 80% of the clothing options are hideous, 10% are other wrestlers and 10% are stupid. If I want to make Sting, Mr Perfect, Vader, Generic tough guy, Generic slutty diva, Generic broody goth gimmick or a cariciture of a cop/clown/chef/jock/foreigner/guy-in-a-gorilla-costume I am in a good creation suite for it.

It's also annoying that the call names for hometowns include a huge number of American cities and then just the capitals of every other country, more or less. Because everyone from Scotland lives in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. The rest of the country is just forests, mountains and castles.

It's realistic to the WWE product. The Mountie was just billed as from Canada, Tajiri/Kaientai from Japan.

Might not be so bad if they at least said the cities correctly. It's Glaz-GO, not Glass-GOW and Edin-BRUH, not Edin-BURROW.

And it's not an "either way is fine" thing. If I said I was going to Miami and prounounced it My-a-my or Las Vegas as Laz-Vej-iss, it wouldn't be acceptable.

WWE's an American company, I imagine most of the hometowns listed would be American cities.

If you don't wanna go through each move section you really don't have to.

But it's an international game. When one state has more hometown call names than two or three countries combined, it's not exactly even.

If you make a non-American CAW you have a choice of putting his hometown as some American place or one of two minimum effort foreign cities.

Or you can go all out and have him come from "The Club", "Before Time" or "Another Dimension". A little too comical for a hometime call name and too specific. A call name for a very specific CAW but not a callname for thousands of CAWs that'll come from an actual city.
So if you're making a clubber, a caveman or a spaceman, you have a hometown call name. If you're making someone from an actual city that's not a capital, you've not really got a choice.

Why not introduce a syllable system? Then you can paste togethor the city and or CAW name. I think LOW did that and it actually worked incredibley well and that was the PS2.

I could just skip a bunch of moves but then I'll be in a match and my 7'5 masked wrestler moonsaults someone.
They just, somehow, made it a chore. Maybe if there was something to look at rather than a generic guy and a dull, dark ring and a sterile UI. Make it fun. Give it some kind of feeling.
What about my CAW in a training facility or a gym, in the ring with a trainer doing the moves I'm viewing/selecting while other CAWs (pre-made or other CAWs on the save, maybe even randomly selected from online) are in the background, training, working out etc. I think the dullness of the moveset mode is a big problem. I don't want to be their for long periods of time. It's boring.

Doesn't matter, WWE is primarily an American brand. If the developer went out of its way to record hometown calls from your region, they'd have to do it for everybody. They don't list Japanese regions and the game is made there. What about fans in Mexico? Iceland?

Being "even" in this case wouldn't be feasible nor worthwhile; it's not like some guy in New Guinea's gonna buy the game because his hometown's name is available for CAW intros. Hell, I don't care that Miami is in there. Your beef is strange in the way people who want their country represented in a Street Fighter game are. Like, of all things to hold a game to.

I guess I don't get that.

You could bill him from Bumfuck Nowhere, but you'd still have the gameplay to deal with.
