Well that's one.

Unfortunately the buy rates were down on year for all of the shows headlined by DB. Granted the booking leading to some of those shows was a bit iffy, but the long and short of it is that DB going for the title didn't draw people in.

I don't think people doing someone's chant at a basketball game gets factored into the PPV buyrate. Gonna have to double check on that.

DB also Main Evented in the "Down Time" of the year. It wasn't like he crapped the Mania Buy Rate or something. Those PPVs always get lower numbers then say Rumble or Chamber.

Watched this PPV. The D-Bry/Wyatt match was incredibly awesome.

The Lesnar/Show "match" served its purpose of making Lesnar look like a beast.

The crowd was more entertaining than the Cena/Orton match.

The Rumble was better than last year's, but you could just feel how the life was sucked out of the fans with no Daniel Bryan.

I'm hoping that they have big plans for Daniel Bryan at Mania. Such as wrestling and defeating The Undertaker. Does seem incredibly dumb to have your fanbase going so crazy over a dude and not give him a main spot on your biggest card. I'd even put a hypothetical Bryan/Taker match on after the title match since it would be "the highlight of the night".

Oh yeah, wanted to comment about Alexander Rusev. No idea why they took away his boiled leather skirt thing. Gave him a unique look that also made him look more "foreign and menacing".

Last week on NXT he was in generic black trunks.... at the Rumble he got a red stripe on his generic black trunks. His old gear added so much character.

I'm sure this has been mentioned but I am not going through the entire thread to find it. After some contemplation, I hope we all realize that this Daniel Bryan thing is all a big work. WWE knows exactly what they're doing and I assure you that Bryan is in on it. What's happening is exactly what WWE wants to happen. Everybody is talking about it. People are tuning into Raw to see what they do, and they're going to order the PPV to see if Bryan gets what we all want. The chase always generates more buzz than when the babyface actually has the strap. We need to enjoy this for what it is. The YES movement is unreal and so awesome to watch. I love watching the chase. We all better start buying Bryan merch and get on board with the Network while he is on top if we want him to stay there.

Now, if Bryan faces Sheamus at Mania still then I will be utterly confused. That would be a stupid idea. We'll see how it goes. Having said all that, I really think this is a huge work and they have us in the palm of their hands.

Not expecting the fan reaction to Batista and Rey doesn't have anything to do with it being a work. I agree with that part. I still however think they have a plan. Although, after talking to Tb1 at the gym today I could be giving them too much credit. The excitement is in the chase though.
