Still maintain that Jimmy Uso turning heel would have been more of a moment. The black sheep thing could have even worked for him. He's sick of being on the sidelines and waiting, whilst his brother sits at home hurt, and his other family member steals the spotlight. "Anyone but you, Roman..."

Jey Uso could have gone on Twitter -- "I don't know anything about this. Bro, what's going on?" Naomi could have supported her husband "We're doing what we have to do to get noticed around here".

Jey Uso could have come back fighting for his brother's soul. Bray could have ordered Jimmy to destroy him. Maybe Jimmy does and you trial a feud, ending with Jey winning and getting Jimmy back. Or if the heel shtick is working, you can keep Jimmy bad and have Jey continue as being a good guy on his own and see if he gets anywhere. You can always bring them back together later.

Here's the thing with Stowman...
I had this thought when I had the idea for a female Brock Lesnar-type to come in and be the fucking unbeatable beast that brings all other divas up. If she goes through NXT and does the typical run... she's human. Since NXT is no longer a "hidden" development brand, everything is pretty much part of the whole system. It's tougher to have someone just be competitive there and then come to the main roster and be UNSTOPPABLE. I feel the same way about Stowman. If they have confidence in him, this is for the best. With FCW, you could let him go through the motions and then bring him to the main roster fresh. That's not an option with NXT now. If they had confidence in him, this was the way to do it. Especially since he's got a backstory related to sister Abigail. Now he seems legitimately like some rogue guy that Bray just introduced us to and not some guy who was from Bray's past who "Had to work his way through the ranks to get here" for some weird reason. |

I like the new Wyatt being someone new that hasn't even competed on NXT. It breaks the mold of everyone needs to go through NXT. I believe this was the best way to go instead of bringing in Leo Kruger, Rowan, Uso, or someone else repackaged.

Not only that but if he doesn't work out as planned, throw him back to NXT, try to fix what didn't work, then bring him back repackaged and you're pretty much in the same spot you would have been anyway.
If he DOES work out, you accomplished something that an NXT run would have ruined from the get-go. Like I said, he's got a background at the moment that doesn't fit with the "worked his way up through the rasslin' ranks" story. |

This Stowman thing could go either way. I know this seems like a ridiculous comparison, but I immediately though of Zeus when they did that angle yesterday. Stand there, no sell, do little. He hit a cool move which is more than Zeus did, but still. Cool we have a monster, could get over, but less is more with this dude. Hope they remember that.

But you're right -- you can't have this guy taking arm drags in the second match, as Jim Cornette would put it.

Watching the hulu replay, out comes Heyman and Lesnar, and fuck me Byron Saxton sucks so much balls. I was mentioning in another thread how scripted and generally force fed Michael Cole sounds, but Saxton is miles worse. Why is he on the show?

Hope Stowman is booked as this monster of the Wyatt's and eventually could have Bray be the one to actually stop him. Could be Brays face turn if Stowman can get over enough with the Wyatt family and persuaded Harper to join him and leave Bray. Then have Rowan return to team with face Wyatt.

What if they had Sting all in bronze so when they lifted the fabric up you'd still think it was the statue until you see his face and he started moving.

Stone Cold should have been in the box. Middle fingers, stunner, BBQ Sauce.
He stopped Vince, he can stop Vince's successors. Then show Vince in the back eating some cake and his mouth just drops open in shock as he sees this on the screen and Raw comes to a close. Woulda been a cool thing to do on Vince's birthday. |

So I'm watching the Cena/Stewart segment, which is gold by the way, and yeah, Cena comes off as a complete bullyagainst Stewart. The explanation given was genuine, the apology and acceptance of wrong doing was genuine, and while it's a inherited risk by putting your hands on an athlete, Stewart was clearly remorseful in a way not comparable to a manager like Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, etc

Lol if only. People would cheer him. Feel the only way heel Cena would ever work is to have him be a complete corporate sell out who shills his own merch, and turns the hustle, loyalty and respect gimmick into a parody of his current self.

Yea I have a feeling they had to do a lot of last minute editing to RAWs script because of how bad Undertaker looked when he was leaving the ring at SS. If I recall, wasn't he supposed to be at RAW? I dunno, but I think he will be taking a hiatus for a while now.

So, JBL said the Dudleys have won 24 world tag team championships between them, 9 of which were the WWE Tag Team Championship. I'm looking at their Wikipedia page, but it's just not adding up.
WWE - 9 WCW - 1 ECW - 8 IWGP - 2 NWA - 1 TNA - 2 That's only 23. They've won two other random tag team championships in smaller promotions, but those definitely aren't world tag team championships. Did one of them win a tag championship with someone else? |

The more I think about it...shouldn't all of the Wyatt Family members have Wyatt as their surname? I know when Bryan joined for a brief period of time Bray kept referring to him as "Daniel Wyatt"
Bray Wyatt Luke Wyatt Braun Wyatt Erick Wyatt Baron Wyatt ![]() Dunno...just feel like it makes them seem like a true group of evil backwoods hillbillies if they all took Bray's name. It doesn't have to be played off like they're actually related, they're just so brainwashed by Bray that they think they are. Once somebody "leaves the family" is when they take on their "real" name. |

I watched the Hulu version of this yesterday. First Raw I've watched in six months. Pretty entertaining. I enjoyed the Dudleys/Sting surprises and the Cena/Stewart/Flair segment (even though I'm with the Cena-was-a-dick crowd, it was still a fun bit of television). Pretty telling that they cut out all the "Divas Revolution" stuff but included the 8-man tag and seemingly every video package from the show.

Don't really think The Undertaker joining Ambrose & Reigns against The Wyatts is that stupid... I had a Lesnar, Undertaker & Reigns vs. Wyatt, Harper & Ambrose program mapped out in my mind that would have culminated at Hell in a Cell.

I don't know, Noid. If Taker is feeling up to putting in some more dates and they don't wanna push this weird quasi-heel turn he's flirting with, it could still work. Reigns and Ambrose look at him as the one guy who could even up the sides against the three of them. Taker says "no" because "fuck the Shield" but eventually Wyatt makes the wrong comment about how even Taker is afraid of Stowman and that's enough to get him to fight.
