The more I think about it, the more I really kind of wish Mark Henry won the Andre thing. Would have been good for a guy who has been pretty directionless, at his last Mania, then he could come out tomorrow on Raw and retire if he wanted to or w/e... nice "parting gift" for him, in his home state and all that stuff.

As much as I think it's great that Corbin got the win, I don't trust that they'll actually do anything with him? idk. Is he even being called up full-time to the roster?

It was acceptable enough, I don't think it felt special and I think the main events were lacking, but the undercard was a decent mixture of good matches and fun moments.

All in all, an OK Mania, but I was exhausted after watching it. It is way too long nowadays and I think the crowd was tired by the end too.

It is way too early for Reigns to be a multitime world champ main eventing Mania and the crowd let them know it. Just nowhere near ready.

Am in the Austin camp that he needs a heel run to find his personality and grow as a character, and with potential feuds this year with Ambrose, Cena, Lesnar, Orton, Rollins at least, now is as good a time as any to do it.

Sad to see folk in this thread dismiss the guys in LoN. Sheamus and Del Rio are guys you can rotate at the top of the card with no problem and I honestly believe that Rusev can be great. He has personality, charisma, is great in the ring and can be very funny when he wants to be.

LoN is destroying them and is the worst stable since the DOA/Los Bariquas days, and I hope last night was their comeuppance and dismissal. We could use those 3 back as singles guys if Barrett is gone.

Loved the show overall

Watching the main event was like watching a ship sink. Live crowd was just tired, angry, and awaiting the inevitable.

Only other gripe was that Shane was given Dean's story. They toned down the violence and cut time from the Street Fight to treat it as a "pre-show" to HIAC. Understood why it happened, but Lesnar/Ambrose could have stolen the show if WWE allowed it to. The "bring it on" spots and post-match standing ovation belonged to Dean, but it just didn't happen.

Ladder match was sick - Ryder wtf, but unreal spotfest with fresh things

Styles/Jericho were both great - have no problem with Y2J winning - awesome near falls

New Day/LON was fun, good card placement - loved the post-match stuff

Ambrose/Lesnar was about half as good as it could have been - very obvious WWE handcuffed these two - still a fun watch

Women killed it - amazing match and a great showing for everyone

HIAC was unique and fun - this felt like a match you wouldn't see anywhere else except WrestleMania - had a blast enjoying it in the crowd

Andre was very cool with Shaq, and glad Corbin won. Thought Joe would get the call up and victory, but this works as well.

Rock/Cena stuff was very fun

Main event was just wow. Boo

Don't know if it was Joe bleeding on NXT Takeover or what but I really wanted some blood. Either in the Ambrose/Lesnar match or Shane /Taker. Taker even promised blood. Felt that Lesner/Ambrose was way to short and Ambrose didnt really gain anything from that match. Felt he put up a better fight in the build than he did for the match.

I think Ryder is honestly being rewarded for the fact that he works more matches than anyone else in the company if you include house shows. Maybe they are thinking about how he is always over with the crowd, works an insane schedule, never gets hurt and they realize they kind of NEED him on TV right now.

honestly, i think they may be looking at his likability. its similar to daniel bryan. they didnt do shit with daniel and he was still consistently over with crowds. maybe now they realize they should capitalize.

Maybe slik, STD, or H'berg can confirm it but supposedly the WWE was putting crowd cues on the Jerrytron to get the crowd to chant stuff during matches. Been reading both the New Day match and Women's title match had ques being shown on the big screen.

Hall of Fame show also supposedly had crowd cues being done although by production crew holding up signs near the crowd.

I didn't mind the New Day's one at all, it was quite helpful, but when Charlotte was doing heel shit to Becky and Sasha they were queuing up the WOOOOOO!!! every 5 seconds and maybe it was done methodically to get us to trash her shit

I've been buzzing through the thread here and reading results. And judging from what I'm reading, I guess it wasn't the best WrestleMania.

Just a few thoughts I got:

Unless it further gets addressed tonight, Shane McMahon's return looks like it was for nothing. Sure he took some bumps and put up a fight. But the match didn't really do anything for either man. Would have thought for sure this was it for the Undertaker and Shane taking over Raw was going to bring us new places and potentially end the Authority storyline. Conflicted when Shane came back, still conflicted about it now.

Would have liked for Ambrose to go over Lesnar. He had it all going for him. Fans love him to death, had the "blessings" of Terry Funk & Mick Foley, great gimmick to boot. Would have done wonders if the "upstart crazy guy" took down The Beast. Could have been an instant threat to Reigns for the Title and make Ambrose be the "Man who took down Brock Lesnar clean" man we've been waiting for.

Styles vs. Jericho. I'm probably in the boat with the majority asking the question as to why Jericho went over here. My script said Styles wins, feud over, both men move on. But I guess Creative is gonna stretch this out for one more PPV and then finally end it.......thankfully. It's getting tiresome.

Divas/Women's title. Charlotte wins. I honestly thought this had Sasha Banks' big moment written all over it. Curious as to what happens tonight on Raw. I honestly think Daddy Ric needs to walk away from this and let her stand on her own.

IC title ladder match. Yeah.......call up the Scooby Gang for this mystery. Zack Ryder winning. Who knew? Seriously, who knew?


Roman Reigns wins, as predicted. There was no 11th hour change. The MITB was already used. There was no other way out. And I guess it wasn't that great of match either. This is what Vince is running with. This is what he wants. Whatever happens, happens.

That's Brian Zane, a.k.a. "Wrestling With Wregret" on YT. He's actually a quite well-respected guy when it comes to critiquing wrestling events and in his other videos where he talks about whatever's on his mind. I thought the under card was really good, but I wasn't really invested in the HHH/Reigns storyline to really care about the match. And i love Shane, but I've seen that match about 5 times from him. I get it . This Mania just didn't have that one big match for me.

I've always been a big fan of a storyline build and to me you can have a mediocre match, but if the build is great, that can always carry a match if you're audience is emotionally invested in the characters. I just haven't cared for the Roman Reigns character at all. It's Daniel Bryan's storyline but just a lot more dull.

Some positives were women's wrestling is pretty awesome right now. They pushed Corban. Styles finally got to wrestle on a Mania and the mid card has a lot going for it. They just need to figure out the main event .
