In this video you can basically see 40-60% of the audience cheer when Braun comes out. There are plenty of people just standing around watching. They then go into a mild "Yes!" chant when he gets into Triple H's face. It's not huge and only lasts about six seconds.

Something more recent that I actually didn't know existed. It starts with some awfully filmed and phony backstage shit with Braun holding Elias in place while Elias tries to escape via car, and then chasing him through the arena ala Tom and Jerry. The commentators can barely hold their shit together. When Braun walks out onto the stage, there is a mild pop. The crowd does not give a shit about the in-ring action. When Braun roars, there is a medium-sized roar from the crowd. When he holds Elias in place to club him, there is no reaction, and Braun reacts to a specific fan that calls something out. Crowd seems to wake up for the weapon shot from Elias. Crowd doesn't give a shit when Elias is on offense. No reaction for the suplex punch from Braun. Mild reaction for them approaching the announce table. No reaction for Braun playing the piano, which was specifically set up to be a crowd interaction spot. Minor "Get these hands" chant, because people like chanting things. Lasts about four seconds. They roar when Braun roars, but it dies immediately down. No prolonged cheering. Minor pop for Braun winning, close-up of crowd...standing there. A few people smiling.

I'm sorry, but I just don't get this "Braun gets amazing reactions" thing. People seem to roar when he roars, but even Reigns had that going for him.

On the local level they are a different party even though they do share a lot of similarities in terms of ideology. Either he recently switched to regular Republican party or Tennessee just considers both parties to be the same for primary reasons.

"Libertarian" is both a political party and just the name for a political ideology. Similar to Ron Paul running as a Republican.

Knox County also always votes Republican apparently, so that was the only realistic way he could win.

NJPW made the big mistake of thinking their brand alone can sell shows in the US and not the actual talent or strong cards. They got lucky with the last US show but only WWE can really get away with doing that and usually for their Big 4 events.

Cody trying to hit 10k for All-In was always going to be super tough regardless of NJPW push into the US. Even the WWE struggles at times to hit that mark for their shows.

Are the talent in New Japan really a much bigger draw than the New Japan vibe itself? Bryan Alvarez tells the story of just walking around New Orleans at WrestleMania time and just seeing Okada and no one recognizing him. That was when the city was swarmed with wrestling fans. I just don't think it's what people think it is. They were at 100,000 subscribers for New Japan World last time I checked. I'm not mocking them, but that is what they've got from a worldwide fan-base that are willing to pay 999 yen for that service. There are 100,000 fans willing to pay less than a gym membership for all the content New Japan produces.

Their show apparently does pretty well on AXS, and I am glad to hear about their steady growth, but the idea that they are exploding or whatever is an internet thing -- like that "Broken" Matt Hardy was a thing. All you need to do is look at the numbers and it's quickly dispelled as myth. I think where they went wrong is thinking that the fan-base is more than what it is, and that when they do shows where they have 2,000 people attend one, 3,000 another and 4,000 another, that they've got 9,000 fans, as opposed to 4,000.

It's absolutely insane to be honest, and it's even more insane that they've made it an active goal that they can fail at. They didn't just book a big arena show with the attitude of "we're going to try and get as many fans as possible." They have specifically set their value at 10,000 people and whatever they miss is how much they've over-inflated their own value by.

The "indy wrestling in so great; we are true artists" attitude bugs me, but it's enhanced by this "we get it" demeanor, with them constantly bragging about how much money they make outside WWE. Good for them and whatever, but it's annoying when it's clear they're kind of full of shit and do something that seems like such a daft promotional move. I don't feel as sorry for them as I do New Japan.

Maybe they will draw 10,000 and make me eat crow, but if they don't, I don't know how any of them could be surprised. I don't know what indicator there has been that there are 10,000 individual fans willing to pay money to see Cody Rhodes do his mid-card WWE shtick in the main event of a show.

I think it also hurts they scheduled the same state so soon after their last US show.

If anything, it would have made more sense to have a show on the East Coast instead of the West Coast once more.

10,000 for Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega was always a little delusional. There aren't as many "wrestling hipsters" as people think there are.

I can get the idea that running the same place in three months might be damaging to ticket sales, but what does that say about the demand for them? Jerry Lawler and Memphis this is not.

When it actually happened and the accident happened in the ring, I lost all feeling in my legs and my arms. It was literally the most terrifying experience in my life and I would never wish that upon anyone. It was so scary. I literally was like "Oh my gosh, I'm done, I'm going to be in a wheelchair now, this is it, I've pushed myself too much." Because I really did, because everytime I was in the match I was like "its okay, I'll do the comeback, I'll take the bump, I'll do this, I'll do that" because I was just so eager to get back in the ring you know. I feel like I pushed myself too hard to the point of where my body was like "stop." You know I've been doing this since I was thirteen as well and my body was like "you need time to grow woman."

I refused to believe I was hurt, I remember doing this. Coming back to Orlando to go get my MRIs and stuff and I felt good, I could get back in the ring again even though I just experienced temporary paralysis. I was like "No I'm good, I can do this, please don't make me be out." And I was like begging them, "Please I don't want to be out anymore, please don't let me be out." I was just crying to the doctors and stuff. So then Dr. Maroon was like "I'm sorry you cannot get back in the ring again." It was horrible, it really breaks your heart....it really does.

I remember being in the match too and experiencing that and like "maybe it's just my arms right?" So I'm like "no I'm going to keep going." And I remember trying to grab Sasha's legs and my arms felt like there was just no bones in them you know. So I'm trying to grab her legs and then like "wait let me try to stand up and then I'll be good to do the comeback" and Sasha is like "noooo, absolutely not." Then I tried to stand up and I just look drunk. Like I just start stumbling and falling back. But actually I feel like the girls were more terrified than what I was at the time. Like I was petrified, but the girls were crying at ringside and stuff and then they see the stretcher coming out and I was like "please, please," and it's just like horrible. I don't know how you did it for so many years beforehand because it's terrifying.

Brock is not expected to defend the Universal Title again until Extreme Rules in July. Lesnar will not appear on RAW until after Money In The Bank. He is currently not scheduled for SummerSlam, but if plans change his next defense could move from Extreme Rules to SummerSlam in August.

Roman was interviewed backstage yesterday as to way to let him cut a promo without the live crowd booing him. Vince was very concerned the Long Island crowd would create the wrong atmosphere than what he would like Roman Reigns to receive. Roman will likely be cutting more backstage promos, as Vince felt the backstage promo was a big success.

Vince would like to continue with more 'getting to know' Bobby Lashley segments to help the audience feel more comfortable in viewing Lashley as a major superstar.

Vince's paranoia over crowd reactions for Reigns is beyond comical now. This should be the clear sign to him that Reigns is not top star material and/or desperately needs a serious change in direction done for him.

Closest Vince ever got to this level with Cena was whenever Cena looked weak in feuds and he panicked over potential lost merch sales. With crowds, Vince didn't care or just had Cena repeatedly leach crowd heat from others who were more over.

The current plans call for Roman to get the 'Daniel Bryan' storyline of being screwed by management all the time to prevent him from being champion, so when he wins the belt finally it will generate a large response. No word on if Kurt is turning heel, but the plan is for the audience to feel like Roman has been screwed by WWE management and is fighting back against all odds.

]The current plans call for Roman to get the 'Daniel Bryan' storyline of being screwed by management all the time to prevent him from being champion, so when he wins the belt finally it will generate a large response. No word on if Kurt is turning heel, but the plan is for the audience to feel like Roman has been screwed by WWE management and is fighting back against all odds.

I don't even have the words.

I like Roman and think he's a good wrestler...but I don't like Roman as "the top guy".

He would be a great upper mid card badass face...or a good heel...but the two moves of doom, 'sympathetic' babyface character and push doesn't fit him at all.

9 p.m. 2.73 million viewers

After Money in the Bank, WWE's next two PPVs are Extreme Rules in Pittsburgh on July 15th and SummerSlam in Brooklyn on August 19th.

Lesnar signed a new deal with WWE after retaining the Universal title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34, but the length of that contract -- aside from it being short-term -- isn't yet known.

When Lesnar will be making his next appearance isn't known either. He most recently defeated Reigns in a steel cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble, with it ending in controversy as Reigns speared him through the side of the cage.

The five-year deal is for $150 million annually. according to the Sports Business Journal who had the story first. Additionally, they added this kills any chance another streaming provider could get in the mix as it's an exclusive deal.
While strictly not wrestling related, UFC's new tv deals are still very important since WWE needs UFC to get a big deal in order to get their own big deal with the next tv contract. More details: https://www.f4wonline.com/ufc-news/u...ry-2019-257301

On her Twitter account, Rhodes noted, "I’ll admit my first thought was “time to go home”. However, my second thought was, “how can I fight with one (left) arm?” I figured it out and competed in 2 more tag matches w/ Oedo Tai. I love wrestling."

Her husband Cody noted on Twitter that she would be undergoing surgery as the broken bone is poking into muscle.

Michael Hayes was also behind Brock vs. Reigns at WrestleMania. I don't know how much blame you can put on Hayes, given that Reigns is toxic right now and there are lots of reasons for that. And Seth Rollins is glorious and doesn't have the same pressures on him. That being said, if you were doing a refresh of WWE programming, Hayes would probably not make the cut. He's also caused them a few backstage problems (thinking mainly of the Bobby Lashley incident). He might be a dude like Kevin Dunn that just needs to be lost in the reshuffled deck when something happens to Vince.

It's pretty weird that John Morrison is going to probably have more exposure than anyone in the WWE.
