That was the right way to do it. Reigns needed to get his win against Lesnar, so you couldn't put Braun in the match, so just put him out at ringside to get beaten up and stuff.

But why did he need to destroy Owens? It makes sense if they want to have him cash in and truly put him over.

That's not what happened though, he did nothing but get knocked down by Roman then get destroyed by Brock.

Let K.O. give Braun a fight. Braun could still beat Owens but be beat up a bit himself. Then it at least makes sense that he isn't able to cash in after getting attacked, instead of looking like a turd compared to Brock again.

Event itself was decent overall. Some really questionable decisions and not worth the earlier start time but it did have some good to great matches.

I am bummed about Miz and Bryan. This should have been built and done at Mania. I guess they are just worried about Bryan not resigning.

And thinking about it, I know they are blowing the fued with Owens and Strowman off but it would have been nice if Strowman had recovered, went to cash in the case and Owens came out of nowhere, grabbed it and took off not allowing Braun to cash in. Owens can't be Braun but he can sure screw him out of what he wants.

I didn't see that match so I can't comment on it. Maybe those details could have been handled better, but there was no other way they could have done that ending, Reigns had to win that match against Lesnar and not have it shit on with Braun cashing it in on him.

Funniest thing is they his coronation be really short because they quickly realized the crowd was going to turn hard against Reigns once the cash-in wasn't happening.

They waited almost 4 years to finally get Reigns' big moment done and ended up half-assing it like everything they've done with his booking.

Enjoyed the show more than I thought I would probably because I watched it over two separate times. The problem is that with the pre show includes it’s a 6 hour show, most people don’t have the attention span for that. I know they need to get as many of the wrestlers as possible on to the show and continue or end the feuds that have been building up but it would be much better if they cut down the amount of matches and put more focus then on to what is there .

Also for their own sake they may need to put the Takeover events the night after the PPV or on a separate weekend cos they keep getting upstaged.

Overall there was some great matches over the weekend with some unnecessary segments ie the Braun/Owens match.

The best is how it was booked so Brock lost the title because Brock was distracted by Braun, not because Roman was "the better man".

His first reign was all of 5 minutes before he lost it to a Sheamus MITB cash-in.

So how is Braun going to use his briefcase to win the belt. I don’t see him failing to cash in the year after Corbin failed cos it would taint the MITB match.
Either that or he does an angle where he throws the briefcase in the rubbish cos he’s a monster and he doesn’t need it , then it gets picked up by a mystery person. Then they can play an angle when different wrestlers will walk out to the ring during Romans matches to keep us guessing who it is.

thank god. he and Heyman have been so stale.

Reigns has had some shitty runs for sure. hopefully the writers figure it out and this reign lasts more then a few months. If not and Braun cashes tonight, then i think they've thrown in the towel with him as a long reigning champion for now

So either they changed their mind at WrestleMania simply to "psych out" the smart fans or they really thought ahead and decided stretching it out for 4 more months would tell a great story and lead to Reigns being beloved. Either way, this company is a clusterfuck creatively.
