Current deal still includes 2 more crossover appearances if Disney so chooses. But i dont think the deal is done just yet. Disneys ask was insane. They wanted a 50/50 and profits and production fees and they wanted to have that same deal and assume control of all spidey adjacent properties. Thatsa huge play.



Disney already gets 100% of the merch. Sony ONLY has the back end. 50/50 on their only major franchise? Cmon. Disney knows theyre the reason the brand is hot and theyre wanting sony to acknowledge that, i get it, but theyre being greedy. 5% is too small though for what theyre doing. Fair enough.



Disney is driver, sure, but Sony has the title. Make a real offer. Sony will absolutely tank the brand out of spite before they take that deal.



That said a strong spidey brand lets disney sell more merch and they can make tv shows and what have you. Theres a lot of incentive to want the brand strong.

I agree with the sentiment that Mysterio is a superior Marvel villain. This is a top ten MCU film, very easily.
