Yeah, out of all the awesome mods for the game (and there’s fucking loads of them at this point), custom moves has to be the best. If only because after a decade lack of new moves was the only thing that made it harder to play Returns over time. Could of played it forever but more and more guys missing signature moves got frustrating. This ensures World will always be up to date.
And they’ve gotten really good at it too. They’ve gone well beyond mixing existing animations, and into creating their own custom frames. Some moves consist almost entirely of custom frames. For instance one guy made Kairi Sanes sliding elbow into the corner complete with angry stomps to the other side of the ring. Another guy has been making fighting game moves that pretty much all custom frames. He even made a rocket punch ala Android 16. |

Director sent out a tweet saying they’re still working hard on assets for the four previously mentioned dlc wrestlers.
He then followed up with another tweet saying they are also working on voice recordings for a “certain group” and that he’d share details in August. So, sounds like they’ve got another promotion for dlc. I’m guessing it’s DDT, given they have a strong relationship with them. Hoping for Stardom though. We need more female edit parts in a big way. |

Honestly they may as well keep pumping out DLC whenever possible including working with whatever other promotions they can. This might well be the last Fire Pro game ever so may as well just milk the DLC as long as they possibly can.

Except it costs money to get licensed content, and they had a low budget to start. It was something of a miracle they got New Japan in the first place. Now that the game has sold below expectations, it's yet another miracle we're getting anything else.
That's why it's probably DDT. They have a history and strong relationship with Fire Pro, so I could see them doing this at little cost to Spike/Chunsoft. |

Almost forgot that Tokyo Joshi Pro is a product of DDT, so we could get new female parts even if it’s not Stardom.

Are all the mods and updates and things just for the PC version or can you get them on the PS4 version?

Mods are pc only.
Official updates are released simultaneously for both platforms. |

The game by itself is still a huge improvement over the last game, so if you liked Returns, the unmodded version on PS4 is still a good buy.
The NJPW dlc is definitely worth it as it adds a lot of content in terms of moves and edit parts. Fire promoter isn’t worth the full price imo, but maybe for the sale price. |

Stardom and the Fire Pro director mutually followed each other on twitter recently, so take that for what it’s worth.

DESCRIPTION: 39 new custom moves & 18 custom attires from FP² Contributor BozoSama made to help profile and create the most extensive comprehensive edit of AJ Styles (and everyone’s custom favorites). From old classics like the Cliffhanger, to new favorites like the Calf Killer, this pack covers most eras/moves of AJ’s legendary career. Variations & counters for multiple moves have also been included and to get the most use out of them, I encourage everyone to use Carl’s MoveLists mod, which essentially lets you add multiple moves to each move slot. |

Jay White, Tao Henare, Yujiro Takahashi, and Shingo Takashi are out on PS4. Free for season pass owners. 8 bucks otherwise. That’s pretty steep tbh. I mean I’ll get way more than 8 bucks out of it so it’s no problem to me, but more casual players might not be into paying that for 4 guys.
That said, lots of cool new parts and moves. New Bladerunner in particular is really slick |

I feel compelled to download all of the official DLC anyway A) to support the company and B) I hate finding a great edit I can't use anymore because they might incorporate DLC parts

I’ve gotten so much out of the heavyweight dlc alone. I’ll be getting any and all dlc that includes new parts/moves.

Since there’s no season pass on pc, they are giving it away for free if you own all the previous dlc.

Yeah I'll be grabbing it next time I play.
Though I imagine I'll end up throwing the actual characters into the Retired section along with all of the other defaults. Better to use edits that were made that incorporate the same moves but are a bit nerfed. |

Weirdly, every time I load up the game I have to wait for it to download 282 edits, which is the number of wrestlers I had before my most recent purge where I tried to delete/uninstall everybody and cleared everything out of the cloud. But those wrestlers aren't actually in the game (I don't want them to be).
The only wrestlers I actually see are the ones I should - the in-game characters and the edits I've downloaded since the reboot which are the entire NJPW, AEW, and WWE rosters so that's already a pretty huge list. Gonna grab ROH next and then dig into historical edits. Like 90% of my edits are from The Avenger so edit points are pretty evenly distributed, guys seem to mostly play the way they should. |

Jesus. Running a tournament and Orton vs Suzuki comes up. Absolute slobber knocker. Suzuki busted open. Orton hits an angle slam near the ropes that sends Suzuki tumbling to the outside. As he gets up, Orton criticals him with an RKO on the floor. I fucking love fire pro so much.

So "several" more DLC packs planned. Also an in game parts and move creator. Fucking hell, I don't know how they're doing it, but keep fucking going for the love of god. Last edited by Fignuts; 07-17-2019 at 01:58 AM. |

Wonder who else they've got cooked up for DLC. Another NJPW pack could be something like Lance Archer, Chase Owens, David Finlay, and some of the newer Young Lions. I can't imagine Moxley or Jericho could be in since their AEW contract trumps the NJPW one.
But Marty Scurll and Dragon Lee being in the Junior DLC has me hopeful they might be able to get more ROH and CMLL guys in. |
