I feel like Jay Lethal is a better signing than say Bobby Fish, who has been great so far in AEW I'm just saying Lethal has.main event talent and I'm not sure that's the best use for Fish.
Lethal can have a great match with almost anyone in AEW I bet. Sammy made him look like a star selling his moves so well. That was a really memorable match to me. |

LOL wow Adam Cole looks so much like HBK, crazy. Love that we are already pushing toward Kenny and Cole after that little hint.

really fun show. great opening segment. set a much better tone for the show to me than the usual cold open match. abrupt heel turn for danielson, but i've always preferred his heel work. that main event was sick as f*ck.

In addition to Cabana on the next Dynamite...the two Dynamites after that are in Georgia (Alan Angels) and Long Island (Reynolds and Silver). So the Dark Order hit list angle can be even better.

Cody just needs fuck off to behind the scenes for a while. I'd be fine with him doing occasional commentary

A lot of good matches and some decent segments but the flow sucks....especially going into Rampage for the crowd.
Rampage needs a live/tv if it's gonna continue to exist. |

If they’re putting Danielson against members of The Dark Order, their ratings are going to be in dire trouble.

I didn’t dig the Dark order into of Hangman, wanted that natural pop when his music hit but overall great segment. Danielson played it perfect, crowd played there part and Hangman is lovable.
Kenny, Cole and the Bucks was perfectly played. Fucking loved Darbys acceptance of the Billy Gunn match, so dry! Dante Martin continues to be a freak! He and Lio Rush are so fun, don’t feel like I have ever really seen Lio work before my goodness he’s got amazing movement. Might be the most fluid I have ever seen in a ring. Punks MJF troll was excellent as well. Legit laughed out loud at JR Little commentary when Ishii did his little hulk up bit in the corner. |

I’m not really that into womens wrestling but I do enjoy the way the TBS tournament is playing out over such a long period of time. Really gives it time to breath and be it’s own thing.
I was always a fan of when KOTRhad a long run in with qualifiers and such so glad to see AEW using the tournament structure well. |

Just reading the results shows how this show is riddled with holes:
* Danielson vs. Evil Uno? One guy’s got a chance to bring in new fans, so you position him against the Losers Club and have him decimate them? Smart. * You’ve got Tomohiro Ishii (a better Hall of Fame candidate than Randy Orton, according to Dave Meltzer) show up in this promotion. Isn’t he supposed to be a legit bad-ass? Let’s have him team with a joke wrestler against a retired gimmick and his jobbers. Smart. * We’ve just signed Jay Lethal. You know, we could really use some black athletes that have spent some time in the business and can carry higher up spots. How should we debut him? He can lose to a Sammy Guevara with injured ribs. Care about this guy yet? Smart. |

So he's decimating some jobbers. This bothers you as an old school wrestling fan? Would you prefer constant PPV-caliber matches up and down the card every week, Russo?

Unless you are just being an obtuse dick on purpose, in which case you have dropped out of a tier of poster worth conversing with. No, I’m not saying that decimating jobbers is inherently a bad thing. The Dark Order are not good jobbers anyway. I’m talking about promoting unexciting filler between a babyface with drawing potential against a bunch of unbelievable novelty acts that are presented as cult heroes since Brodie Lee died. If you can’t tell the difference, then oh well. That’s on you. |

also feel like if he were in the main event picture, it would be one of the following:
* another WWE guy in the title picture **harumph** * there's no one good enough to be in the title picture **harumph** * hes in the WRONG title picture *harumphphphphphphph* What is a jobber squash if not unexciting filler? Or should jobber squashes lead to something more meaningful? |

Brian vs. Uno was perfect. He beat up the jobber people actually care about a little and got some heat to support his quasi heel/tweener challenge of the baby face champ.
Job done, solid booking. |

They gave Uno just enough shine to not look like a complete loser. Plus he’s a tag specialist. Going against a wrecking machine. Completely outclassed and overmatched but didn’t look hapless I’m getting his ass handed to him.
Noid just likes to bitch. He’s gotta be suffering through cognitive dissonance every time Cornette sends praise towards AEW, which has been happening more and more the past 6 months. |

Squash matches are supposed to make a wrestler look good. No one looks good beating up The Dark Order. They are not credible enough, they are not aesthetically impressive enough, and it’s counterproductive to your end goal (getting someone over). They suck and anyone being half-way honest will admit that. |

P.S. They didn’t even do 1 million viewers off Page’s title win and the end to this epic two year long story.

As opposed to jobbers in squash matches of the good old days who were all very credible and aesthetically impressive...

Opening up with the world champ, good sign in maybe not making their world champ an afterthought. Involving the Dark Order is intolerable, though.

This segment would be a lot better without Dark Order standing behind Adam Page.... if it was just Bryan/Page in the ring

Weird at turning Bryan heel to work against Page.... at least keep him face, maybe saying a little bit of hard truths like he was saying, but still being a face.....
But I do admit that if anyone can put over Page and make him more legit it is a heel Bryan... |

But yeah, that segment was really brought down by the presence of the Dark Order.... should just have been Page/Bryan and make them feel like "big deals" capable of standing in the ring by themselves and being the focus.
