The Twins have to buy a veteran for next year. Losing Corey Koskie shouldn't be that detremental, he was like a 270 hitter with 20 homers and 30 missed games. He was simply a locker room presence, but his absense seems to be the biggest reason for our collapse.

Jacque Jones is basically not coming back, plain and simple. He was going to be traded before last year until the outfield prospect who was to take his place ruined his knee for the year. Now he is going to walk as a free agent and Torii and Shannon will be the only players with experience. If we don't sign a good shortstop, thirdbaseman, or right fielder, things aren't going to get any better next year. Damn.

Random question: How come Donnely isn't on MVP?

Also, Haren is such a stud too. Overshadowed by Johan tonight, but he went nine innings with one earned run, three hits, two walks, and four strike outs. It would be kind of nice to see the A's finally win in the playoffs, if they can keep their players they will be insane next year.

Reuter? That might be a good pickup for the D-Backs. They need anything right now. If its not starting, then its the bullpen and vice versa.

Vasquez gave up 9 runs today. Bruney came in to relieve, didn't do too much either.
