The Champions League final last year didn't help his cause, especially because apparently he sprinted across the pitch to his teammates when they won the shootout.

I was a bit surprised to see some of the same things were being said about Kewell this time. He's come a fair way this year, and there seems to be some genuine concern about his injury this time. I'm hearing he's already been ruled out of our friendly with Greece next week.

McGrath was playing football, funnily enough. And that was a combination of things. There's no indication that there were any extenuating circumstances here.

Seriously, who the fuck injures themselves while running out onto the pitch. Has anybody ever sat him down and told him about warming up and down properly or what.

Nah. They have however told him the best way to make £40k a week playing the role of a professional footballer and doing the absolute least amount of work possible for that money.

You'd have thought so, but y'know, his 23 goals this season are meaningless cos some of them were scored against TNS.

That and the fact Sven will tell him to do a holding job, sitting just infront of the back four against teams like Trinidad (to help negate the threat of the mighty Stern John) and he won't be able to get forward at all.

Its a joke really. I imagine I would be horribly gutted if that happened but not enough to sit there crying for ages.

Not least because it would fucking do my nut in sitting there watching 30,000 scousers celebrating.

Imagine the Champions League semi finals then, getting locked in at Anfield after the match to avoid trouble, listening and watching 40,000 of the cunts celebrate . How stupid can their stewards be, keeping us there 15 mins to avoid trouble, because the scousers are really gunna be queueing up for the exits.

Anyways I disagree about the first part, I'd have stayed there to watch the trophy being lifted, even if it's not my team I'd never leave the stadium before seeing it lifted. As for the crying, you'd be suprised, I know your shower won't do anything that matters, but it does really get to you. I was almost in tears when Liverpool beat us in the semi's, same with the Monaco game the season before, just sat in my seat feeling gutted really, watching the Monaco fans celebrating.

I'd want out of the stadium immediately. Sitting in my seat knowing the cameras will focus on my face arse crying like a two bob bitch and having the clip shown on TV forever would not be something I'd be too fond of happening.

Just go outside and punch a scouser. That will solve everything.

I guess it could be worse - you could be a fat shirtless kid watching your team go down crying with "LEEDS TIL' I DIE" written on your chest and the cameras cutting to a shot of you every 10 seconds for the whole second half.

Scarred for life.

Actually that kid ended up getting to meet his favourite player and got a signed shirt from him as a result of that.

However his favourite player was Alan Smith, who promptly went and signed for Manchester United. So needless to say that kid didn't like him anymore.

I remember it being on Sky Sports News.

Zeljko Kalac (born December 16th, 1972) is an Australian football (soccer) goalkeeper of Croatian descent, who currently plays for A.C. Milan in Italy's Serie A. He is nicknamed "Spider" thanks to his height (2.02m) and large armspan.
He is an Australian international, though he has spent many years as understudy to first Mark Bosnich, and more recently Mark Schwarzer.
He joined Milan in the summer of 2005 on a free transfer, after his previous club A.C. Perugia was demoted to Serie C1 for financial troubles. Other clubs include Roda JC, Leicester City and Sydney United.
Despite only making three 1st team appearances at Leicester City, his final

His first appearance for Leicester was a league match against West Brom in Division 1, Leicester won 3-2, but should have won it easily if it wasn't for Kalac's general crapness at crosses, repeated in a 3-2 loss against Bolton in the League Cup. It's essentially what we currently have in Paul Henderson, but worse. In fact most of the City fans missed Steve Claridge's winner in the Playoff Final because they were too busy staring at disbelief in Kalac being brought on.

He's meant to have improved a lot since then though, otherwise I couldn't see AC Milan signing him as #2 keeper.

Despite only making three 1st team appearances at Leicester City, his final appearance was as a substitute in the 1996 Division One playoff final, coming on as a substitute during the final minute of extra-time. Being so big, Leicester manager Martin O'Neill believed that Kalac would be able to save penalties during the shootout. But then Steve Claridge scored with the last kick of the game, literally 20 seconds after Kalac had come onto the pitch, and the Foxes were promoted to the Premiership.

He was warming up to be brought on for the Uruguay shootout right in front of us, and we were telling him to fire the fuck up. But Hiddink left Schwarzer on, and here are the results:

Looks like FSC is playing the FA final tonight at 11. Not the same when it's not live, but since it's supposed to be good, gonna check it outttt.

He is since they loaned Abbiati to Juventus. They've also got the Greek no.2 but Kalac has been on the bench and played in the cup games, conceded 5 against Palermo i believe.

Figures, he was fucking shite.

Lehmann Sent Off, Giuly has a goal ruled out

Makes no sense, we had the same thing in last years semi, but the "goal" stood, and Cech stayed on.

As for The Arse, 4-4-1.....not really that much different to what they had, so not the worse thing in the world when you have Thierry Henry up front
