Lindros to the Leafs might be exactly what he needs to start producing again. If he stays healthy...and thats a big if, I seriously wouldnt doubt him being amoung the leauge leaders in points.

Of course we all know a big sneeze is enough to kill him, so its gonna be interesting.

Allison and Lindros...Leafs are taking some gambles

I liked Slegr when he was here for a short time in 03-04. Seemed like he QB'd the PP just as good as Gonchar did but he falls under the radar.

In an interview on WEEI (Boston Radio) Joe said that he wants to hammer out a longer deal after this one ends, to make him a lifetime Bruin.

He also said that the rumors of him EVER wanting to leave are 100% false and they were started "in Canada by people that wanted me to play for the Leafs"

wow the Flames are gonna be good this year. Keeping Iginla,Kipur,Warriner to all long term deals will keep them stacked. They added both Amonte and McCarty while only losing Gelinas. I would honestly put them as the team to beat in the west. They're young and fast and have two Defenseman who could easily be on team canada for the olympics next year. crazy.

Not that big of gambles. If they don't work out they are only on 1 year contracts, so if they do well, sign them for longer, if they get hurt, no problems.

Rumors got it that the "future considerations" for Roenick that LA offered will infact be Roenick back to Philly at the trade deadline if the kings aren't doing well in the standings.

regardless, I doubt it goes down because the Flyers will still probably be over the cap. I suppose Roenick makes quite a few bucks and I don't think they'll be able to clear the space they need to retain him.

TEAM 1040/MOJO 730 (VANCOUVER) : reported the following rumour has been making the rounds involving a major deal between the Florida Panthers and Vancouver Canucks. Apparently first reported on a South Florida sportsradio station, the trade (in its various incarnations) would the Canucks ship a combination of Ed Jovanovski, Dan Cloutier, Jarkko Ruutu, Matt Cooke, and either prospect Ryan Kesler or a high draft pick to the Panthers in exchange for Roberto Luongo, Jay Bouwmeester, Khristian Huselius and a conditional pick.

insane if the Panthers do that.

Apparently first reported on a South Florida sportsradio station, the trade (in its various incarnations) would the Canucks ship a combination of Ed Jovanovski, Dan Cloutier, Jarkko Ruutu, Matt Cooke, and either prospect Ryan Kesler or a high draft pick to the Panthers in exchange for Roberto Luongo, Jay Bouwmeester, Khristian Huselius and a conditional pick.

insane if the Panthers do that.
If the Canucks weren't in a position to contend for the Cup, that wouldn't be a bad trade. I believe however it would be foolish on Vancouver's part at this time... I'd have to see the final player's involved to be completely sure of my opinion.

also has to the JR back to Philly thing appearently it can't be done.

I believe Winnipeg once traded someone away for future considerations at the trading deadline back in the late 80’s and then in the off season received that player back.
