Yeah all the hype about Leinhart wasn't really deserved. I really think he was even close to Vince Young or Reggie Bush because he plays for USC and they went undefeated from last year to now. Reggie Bush is the real superstar, as is evident, at USC.

Well he had more yards in less attempts this season than he did in his Heisman season. Leinart and Bush are both superstars. Bush has a total of zero completed 4th-and-9 passes to save the game, season, streak, and rivalry.

Bush > Leinart > Young

I think Leinart's best season during his career was his Sophmore season, which is just nuts. I'm a big fan of Leinart and Bush. I don't care for USC at all but those two guys are freaking ridiculous.

It would be kind of hard for Leinhart to put up lots of stats with two first round NFL running backs playing with him. I wish last years Auburn team could play this years USC team, I think that would be an even better game then the USC/Texas game where about to see.

Last year they said Oklahoma's defense was too much for USC and they got killed. Now they're saying Texas offense is too much for USC. I don't watch much college football but I dunno, I think USC is probably gonna crush them. The Big 12 isn't that good.

I don't know, earlier in the year I thought Texas was prime to win it all, but USC came back and finished the season real strong. That being said, Vince Young is rediculous. When Texas played us, he converted a third and 30, and from what I know USC's offense hasn't been one of the nations best this year.

I think it will be a really close game, but I can see Texas winning.

Vince Young is a really bad passer, and has a terrible arm. He is great in college because he is an excellent running QB. He has no chance to be a QB at the NFL level.

Yea I see Vince being a wide out in the NFL. I'm not a USC fan at all, but they will probably win. Texas's defense is better then USC's, but USC's offense is better then Texas's. Their QB, both HBs, and ATLEAST one WR is a first round pick, plus im sure a few lineman will go first round. Maybe evne Steve Smith, their slot WR, so they are pretty gross. Texas is really good, but they played in an extremely weak Big 12 this year, Oklahoma sucked this year that's why Texas beat them.

Yeah I was thinking he would try the NFL as a WR, but isn't he pretty big? Maybe he could play TE, I have no idea how his blocking and pass catching skills are though. I just know he's a good athlete and might be able to find a place to play. I guarantee you he will not start an NFL game at QB though.

Well I think Young could be a back up QB (Seneca Wallce) or a converted QB playing WR (Ronald Curry, Hines Ward [kinda]) getting a lot more time/MONEY.

Vince Young is 6'5" 230 or so.
Matt Jones is 6'6" 240.

I don't think he's too big to play WR. I think he could play QB, as could Matt Jones, but they are both better off switching to a different position. IMO.

Yeah he does. Texas passing game is a short passing attack, lots of screens and quick slants and such. Any throw longer than 25 yards Young floats it. He can get away with it play against Big 12 defenses, not NFL ones.

His passing game improved greatly this season, and he remains underrated. He may eventually fail and convert into a receiver, but if he goes into the draft this year he will be taken in the first round and as a quarterback.

Well yeah of course he will, because he plays QB in college. Matt Jones was took AS a QB, but converted into a WR. I think he did improve his passing, but their conference is shitty so I don't know if he will make it in the NFL or not. I don't really see how he's underrated though. He plays for the #2 team in the country, was runner-up in the heisman, and is playing for a National Title. The media talk nonstop about him along with Bush/Leinart. I give him props, he is a freak of nature and has had a great year. Now, if you want to talk about an underrated guy who will probably surprise some folks (IMHO again), look to a city that's just north of me called Memphis.

I've seen 5 Texas games (this year and last year). Every throw I saw him make over 25 yards looked awful. I've heard people whose opinions on NCAA football I value say the same things.

He isn't underrated, his passing is. Just because he is tremendously athletic (and probably because he is black) it is just assumed that he isn't a good quarterback. It's true for Brad Smith, but not for Young.

And no, Matt Jones was taken as a receiver. If the Jags drafted him as a quarterback, he would have gone sixth or seventh round. If Vince Young leaves college early, he won't be selling himself as a receiver. If he could only make the NFL as a receiver he would finish out college and be a late round draft pick. He just simply doesn't fit that stereotype.

Yeah I've heard numerous times that Young isn't that great of a passing QB. Haven't really watched him so I'm not going to say that is true or what, but heres to hoping its one hell of a show at the Rose Bowl.

Young doesn't have a "terrible arm." QBs with a terrible arms do not get considered for the Heisman. You can't bring up Crouch either, because he was an more than a "running QB" (Which I would consider Young) he was a straight up Option QB. It's just debateable wether or not his arm is good enough for the NFL. I don't know if he can make all the throws that an NFL QB needs to make, I personally haven't seen it but then again you really can't know for sure until he plays in the Senior Bowl (assuming he stays for another year) or goes to a combine.

Also, Matt Jones was chosen as a wide reciever, he even played wide reciever in the Senior bowl (much like Antwan Randell-El did) Saying the Jags drafted him as a QB is totally false, there was never an intention for him to play QB. Also, why would they draft a QB in the 1st round when they had Leftwich?
