I'm absouletly shocked. I've always loved Eddie's matches.
Eddie was cetainly one of a kind and has left a hole in the WWE that not many wrestlers can fill. His promos were so emotional, his matches were so entertaining. He certainly had all the characteristics of an amazing wrestler. He worked so hard to get to the position he reached in WWE that at least we can say he accomplished his dreams before he passed away. You will be missed Eddie. |

Yknow, a little over a year ago my dad passed away. Me and him never really had alot of interests in common, but he would try. I remember he would bring me home RAW and Smackdown! mags. But this biggest thing, i remember when the Eddie Guerrero story showed on UPN. He watched it and came up to me the next day and said 'hey, that Eddie Guerrero guy, he went through alot of sh*t man, hes a strong guy.' i laughed and i remember telling him 'so did you dad, alot of smililar things'. And we laughed, and he watched wrestling with me for about 2 months and ALWAYS marked out when Eddie came out with the low rider and stuff. My dad could connect with him, because they both went through drug problems, they were both hispanic, and Eddie carried not just the hispanic heritage with pride, but the CHICANO heritage, the low riders, the slang, the attitude. After my dad passed away in a car accident, anytime i saw Eddie on WWE programing, i smiled because he reminded me so much of my dad and i could just picture my dad smiling and going 'alright, he about to kick someones ass, who is that bald guy? (it was Kurt Angle lol)'. Maybe thats why this loss of a great man has hit me pretty hard. All i know is, now my dad will get to shake his hand up in heaven. RIP Eddie Guerrero, RIP David Alvarado...

A friend of mine was going to meet "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan today, and he heard people talking about Eddie, so he called me for info. And unfortunately this is no joke. I just still couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the headline on WWE.com. I was looking forward to seeing him at Survivor Series, but no longer. What a sad, sad day.

No one chooses when they get to go, they go when God calls them. I just wish he hadn't been called so soon. R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero, it was your time.

You're the man Eddie.
I don't really have much of a conscience.......as some of you who may know me cyberally may have figured out......but I can honestly say that the news of Eddie's passing away sent chills down my spine.
I'm not going to lie and say something like, "Eddie was my favorite wrestler ever!" or "I've been crying all day!" or anything like that, but I do want to take this to simply say, "thank-you." Instead of mourning the death of such a great wrestler (and human being) in Eddie Guerrero, I'd like to thank him for all of the wonderful memories that he provided me. -The Lie, cheat, and steal skits with Chavo -His unbelievable matches with Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, Edge, and many others. -His Wrestlemania celebration with Chris Benoit -His 'mamacita' skits with Chyna And many more.... Other than that, I don't have too much more to say. I'm glad that most of (or all) of Tpww have responded well to this, and continue to focus on the positives of Eddie Guerrero's life.......and the many wonderful experiences that we remember of him. God Bless Eddie Guerrero. May you rest in peace. |

Does anyone know where to send a card to his family? As much as I enjoyed watching him in the ring, it's the least I could do in this situation.

I was on earlier and couldn't believe it. This has just killed my whole day. I couldn't even speak or type after watching that conference and those beautiful tributes. I was gonna call my brothers and tell them, but I lost my voice for a while.
I don't even know what to say. Eddie was my favourite current wrestler in the WWE, and now he's gone. I never got to see him live, like I did with Owen, but that same distractedness and empty feeling has been with me all day. I actually cried during that first tribute video. Wow. RIP Eddie. |

My friend gave me a call while I was in the mall with a friend of mine, and by the tone of his voice I knew he wasn't kidding, and I just could not believe it and started to tear up. When I got home I looked right away on WWE.com, and it was true.
Eddie you are one of the all-time great wrestlers, and you will be truly missed by everyone. May God rest your soul, Eddie. Rest in Peace

I don't stop by the Wrestling Forum anymore since I haven't had access to cable TV since my parents moved, but I heard about this through a number of posters on this site and felt that I should pay my respects.
Eddie Guerrero was an incredibly gifted athlete and professional wrestler. Sure, he had his demons, but don't we all. I spent countless hours as a young adolescent watching Eddie fly about the ring with the grace of a swan, and the brutality of a bull to the face, and was mesmerised every second. He was a great wrestler, and a magnificent entertainer. R.I.P Eddie. You will be sorely missed.

I'm not sure if anyone else had the same thing happen to them, but I found it a little disturbing that a "Land of the Dead" ad appeared on the WWE site right before the page..

I don't watch wrestling anymore these days, but I always enjoyed Eddie's performances, particularly with ECW and WCW. Very sad to hear him gone so young.
RIP. |

Goodness, I'm still in an awkward mental state.
As retarded as this sounds, I honestly wish this was all some sort of mistake or something. Like he's not REALLY dead. Or like he'll be lying there and suddenly he's revived or something. I know, I'm blabbering.... but this is probably the only case where I'd totally mark out if, say at the funeral, he jumps out of the coffin and announces to the astonished crowd, "Oh yeah... I DO LIE!!!!" ![]() That sounds sadistic, but the alternative is so much worse. Yes, I'm selfish. Hopefully, the WWE can set up some sort of trust fund, like if you buy Eddie Guerrero merchanise, the profits go to his family. Gosh, I can't even begin to imagine how his wife must feel right now.

I am in a state of complete shock. I don't know what to do . Even though I have never met him, I feel like I have lost a family member. Same way with Pillman, Owen, etc. These guys are like real-life superheros to me. And to see him go, its....its like IDK how to describe it. I will never get to see Eddie perform again. EVER. And that hurts.
Do you know how hard it was for me to break the news to my grandfather? Even he teared up a little. I just felt like sitting there, my mind was numb. It still kinda is. I feel like crying. Seeing these men, who play such strong characters, break down and show how much they love each other, it gets to me. Where do we go from here? I can't imagine Smackdown without Eddie, just like I couldnt imagine it without Owen. Eddie was probably one of my favorite wrestlers right now. I feel such a sickning feeling in my stomach. He's gone. He's really gone. Goodbye Eddie. Thank you for everything. |

This was posted by roh owner, Gabe Sapolsky
"I've been sitting here all night trying to get some words out. Eddie Guerrero was the perfect name for us to book when we started ROH. He's been a major influence on everyone that has ever stepped in a ROH ring. He defined and innovated the style you see today in ROH. When we started ROH and he was available we knew he was the perfect guy to get ROH attention and set the vibe of the company. I'm not going to act like I knew Eddie well or that he would even know who I am today, but he was a pleasure to work with. He always treated everyone with respect in his soft-spoken, humble, classy way. If I'm able to get the words out maybe I'll write more later. Eddie Guerrero will be missed by everyone who knew him, everyone who simply crossed paths with him and all those that had the opportunity to see him wrestle. Eddie will never be forgotten. This Saturday's show will be dedicated to Eddie Guerrero." |

This is from the Blue Meanie's blog on Myspace.
God Speed Eddie Guerrero!! ![]() It’s always the ones you DON’T expect to die are the ones who always go too soon and Eddie Guerrero is a prime example of someone who we were robbed of today. I didn’t know Eddie that well but it the time I did get to meet him he exuded everything in which this business SHOULD be about. Honor, class and something Eddie had earned from anyone who ever met him and that is RESPECT. They say that eyes are the windows to a person’s soul. Well, when I looked in Eddie’s eye I saw passion. Passion for his business and the passion he had for his family when he brought them to the shows. My DEEPEST condolences go out to the Guerrero family and they all will be in my thoughts. GODSPEED EDDIE!! |

Christ.
Not much could bring me back to TPWW, but I am sad to say that this is something that did (this is Vega...forgot my pass but I knew the pass to my friend's account). Tragic. I haven't watched wrestling for months but I still enjoy it, and I remember the days when Eddie was the highlight of the night and the real reason to even watch the show. It will be hard for the WWE to recover from this, Eddie is one of the best wrestlers of all time. Tragic that it happened the day he was set to win the title as well, reminds me of the Owen Hart incident in that respect. Terrible, Terrible day for wrestling. He was so young too, feel so bad for his family. He will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace. |
