It is rediculous to say that Favre could still be among the best quarterbacks in the league.

What I mean by youth, I wouldn't take Ben Roethlisburger over Brett Favre because he is 23 and Brett is 36 or whatever, I would take Ben because he is a much better quarterback right now.

I know I am biased because I am a huge ass homer for him, but did you really just say you would definitely take Jake The Snake Plummer as well as Daunte before Favre? McNair? Trent Green? And then you say you MIGHT take Byron Leftwich? Leftie is better than all previously mentioned guys. I dunno if you've been hitting the bong or what but pass it if so.

Maybe if Culpepper is able to come around, but I don't know. I can't see him being the same player after what he did to his knee.

That list has only to do with this season. Jake Plummer was one of the top QB's in the NFL last season, McNair has looked good this year on Baltimore, Culpepper was almost the MVP two years ago, I forget who else you disagree with, but Favre is not in the top half of quarterbacks anymore.

You don't want Favre because of last season even though he looked good last week but you'll take McNair who has been mediocre for the last two years but has looked good this year (which I guess your definition of good is posting a QB rating of 58.0 against the RAIDERS). Guess who rank 21 and 22 in QB ratings this year. McNair and Favre. HUGE upgrade.

You also would rather have Culpepper because he was almost MVP two years ago but looked awful last year. Favre had 30 TD passes two years ago. Also guess who is just behind McNair and Favre at #23. That's right, our friend Daunte Culpepper.

Also, if Road Doggy Dogg can muster it, how about an explanation of why Favre is still among the top quarterbacks in the game. The only argument that he almost made was that he is durable and that I am stupid.

So you are going to completly count Daunte out because he had a season ending knee injury five games into last year? Favre has proven he is an elite quarterback...ten years ago. Daunte came back early from a very serious knee injury and has started slow, I'd still take him.

Instead of attacking me, why don't you make your own list and show where you would put Favre in terms of starting quarterbacks based on nothing but ability this season.

Did you manage to forget the first 8 games Culpepper played last season. He was worse the Bret Farve. In fact he wasnt even on Ty Detmers level. His first two games this year, the same.

Last 3 could be maybes, but that's who I am taking over Farve this season, then there's a lump of guys I'd put on some level right now (Leftwich, Bulger, Culpepper, Rivers, B. Johnson)

So while Farve maybe is of the greats, so are Steve Young and Joe Montana. Doesn't do much for me personally this season.

Culpepper was pretty mobile for his size, and he might have lost that a little bit, but I think he will be just fine in the long run. I think he is among the top 10 career QB ratings of all time or something like that.
