Nah I think it will work out ...they know what they have and they will gameplan as needed. I think they'll just both put up like 95% of their teams shots and their teammates will have to get an offensive board to get a shot.

look you're really being a fanboi right now. And i'm the one telling you that. The Nuggets wont catch the Jazz. Nene and Reggie Evans sucks and Marcus Camby schedules 20 games off per season for future injuries. So expect him to be out when Coward comes back.

Shaq and Kobe are complementary, AI and Melo aren't.
Shaq is a dominant post player, Kobe is a dominant perimeter shooter AI and Melo are both primarily shooters. AI is not a true point guard by and sense of the position, besides his height. They could work, I'm not saying they can't, I'm just saying that they both shoot a lot, they both shoot from outside, and that is essentially all they do. |

I have a feeling that you don't watch very many Nuggets games. All Melo does is shoot from the outside? No

And attacking me for not watching your team still doesn't address the actual issue, that AI and Melo both have the same strengh (shooting) and the same weakness (everything else). Both are one dimentional players, and quite frankly I think it will hurt Melo to have to share all of his shots with AI and to not have a good point guard to help set him up. AI gets six assists a game by default, he is not going to help create opportunities for Melo.

Pretty hot how a "franchise guy" got traded though. Something actually interesting to watch
I dunno how it is going to work out, back in the day teams would have 2 or 3 hall of famers on the court at one time but that can't happen anymore tho.. I NEED MY BUCKETS MAN If I was going to compare this to any other combo, I'd compare to more towards Pippen and Jordan then Shaq and Kobe. Jordan and Pippen where a lot better and actually played defense though. |

Forgive me as the outsider Brit who never watches any games
But aren't Kobe and Shaq a bit better than Melo and AI?

I had a big argument with my friends tonight because they said Shaq is the reason Miami won the NBA championship last year. Am I wrong?
Also, went to the Wolves game tonight, awful. Up by 10 going into the fourth, the Lakers seriously went on I think a 17-1 run. KG was left on the bench for the first five minutes of the fourth quarter, and when he came back in the game had turned and it was done. Seriously awful. |

Damn, that was the first Knicks game I have watched in its entirety in like three years. And it was such a sick game to watch.
![]() Ewing, Oakley, Starks, Jordan at courtside and a ridiculous 0.1 second left in double OT tip-in for the win by David Lee. Amazing game. I LOVE THE KNICKS. Last edited by Triple A; 12-21-2006 at 11:06 AM. |

Let's see. Reggie Evans pulls down 8 rebounds a game in 20 minutes. Per 48 minutes, he averages 19.5 rebounds a game, which is FIRST in the league among players who play 20 minutes a game or more, right ahead of Tyson Chandler and Dwight Howard. But yes, he sucks.

Jeff Foster plays 20 minutes a game and he averaged 8.1 rebounds per game. So he must be the best rebounder in the league...fuck it. Jeff Foster for MVP!

Way to be a dumbass. I said he might be the best rebounder in the league. Also, aren't you the Pacers fan? Are you saying Jeff Foster sucks? That he's not one of the best rebounders in the league? We're talking about rebounding and nothing else.

Way to totally avoid the topic.
Looks good on you. Should we crown Reggie Evans defensive player of the year now, or wait until the season is done? |

lol @ the set of headlines on ESPN.com:
• A.I. hoping for Denver debut Friday | Camby out How typical is that. That being said, I don't think AI, Yakhouba Diawara, Linas Kleiza, Eduardo Najara and Nene is any better than AI, Andre Igoudala, Kyle Korver, Chris Weber and Samuel Dalembert. I could definitely see the Nuggets slide before Melo gets back. Also, Rocky Mountain News is reporting that Earl Boykins will likely be traded by the deadline. |
