Joe Buck can never just call the end to a game properly, has to say something stupid like "Back to Philadelphia we go as the Phillies win game 5"

Roy Halladay pulled his groin in the 2nd inning.
Not bad a job there, Roy. |

Looks like Blue Jays set to hire John Farrell (Red Sox pitching coach) as their new manager.
This year he struggled badly getting everyone not named Buchholz and Lester motivated to pitch well and consistently but at the same time it was the 1st time in years the pitching was bad and full of injuries. |

If the ball hits the ground, isn't it dead? Maybe not "dead" but you can't be hit by pitch I thought

No, you can still hit it or in this case be hit by it.
I've never so many wrong calls on hit by pitches. Really weird. |

Best way to end a series for Texas since it was against someone who ended up hurting the club due to massive contract and at same time took out the team who kept eliminating the Rangers in the past.
Rangers dominated the whole series except 1 game and a few innings. |

Jon Daniels deserves a lot of credit for putting together the team, but don't forget that he traded Adrian Gonzalez and Chris Young for Adam Eaton.

4) Texas Rangers
They basically need Josh Hamilton to show up again. The starting pitching is better than it's ever been but it's not saying much. We'll see what Rich Harden gives them. Scott Feldman is nice as is Tommy Hunter. I don't know what they'll do with Feliz. The pen kind of sucks. This is a pretty mediocre team all around. Ron Washington is a cokehead. Offense: 6.5 Starting Pitching: 6.75 Bullpen: 6.5 Defense: 6 Overall : 6.4375 |

Not much to say about the series. Besides a couple of innings here or there the Rangers pretty much dominated.
Definitely disappointing but Texas just looked and played like the better team. Yankees having some struggles with the rotation wasn't surprising. The offense being non-existent besides Cano was a little bit. Aren't winning many games when you go 8 for 53 with RISP for the series. |

Lee said he would 100% re-sign with the Rangers if they won the WS. Even if they don't I honestly think it'd be hard for him to leave after this. Rangers won't offer him quite as much as the Yanks, but he should still see close to a 9-figure salary to stick around on a contender.
I also think he may have too much fun beating on the Yanks to make a heel turn and join them. I've thought that in the past with guys like Damon and such but this just feels a bit different. |

Kinda sucks that rooting against the #1 bandwagon team in all of sports meant that you had to side with Cowboys fans, which wasn't that bad until they played that retarded Texas song after the game ended. And I don't see how Lee signing with the Yankees would be worse than Damon, that guy played for their hated rival and was involved in the greatest comeback of all time against them and then went in front of the whole world and lied by saying "I can't see myself ever playing for the Yankees" when that is exactly what he did. Cliff Lee for the last few years has just been the guy that any team will pay a ton of money for just to have him dominate the second half of the season, I don't see why he wouldn't take all the money the Yankees are gonna throw at him.

You mean "New York New York" by the Chairman of the fucking board Frank Sinatra?
Congrats your team won, but you just called Frank Sinatra stupid? Really? Come on! Fuck the Yankees, woooooo! The true kings of the AL East in the 21st century remain the Red Sox with two world series rings to 1 for the Yankees! |

The one bad thing about when the Yankees lose is you know that they are gonna re-load this offseason. Carl Crawford, Jayson Werth, and Clifton Phiefer may all be wearing pinstripes next year.

Cliff Lee is obviously our primary target this offseason, along with about 5-6 other things that must be addressed on our to do list.
I see no reason to bring aboard Crawford or Werth. |

Just simple upgrades. The Yankees didn't necessarily need Mark Teixeira two years ago but saw the chance to upgrade and took it. Imagine Crawford in left, Werth in right, and Swisher DH? Pretty big upgrade over Gardner, Swisher, and Thames.
