I also find it ironic that the Bucs happen to be the team involved in wanting to end kickoffs considering that ridiculous streak they had of never returning a kick for a touchdown.

Chargers preparing to fire both Norv Turner and the GM although the team had to deny the rumors of both being given the notice yesterday they won't be lasting beyond this week.

Also rumored that Phillip Rivers will lose his starters spot and maybe even a spot on the team once the season is over.

Where can those rumors about Phillip Rivers possibly come from if they don't even know who the coach/GM is gonna be? Is it just a "rumor" that the next coach won't want Rivers as his starting QB? Fucking rumors.

Think its one of those things where Rivers is seen as a "Turner" QB and since he's been struggling badly the last two years, might be time to think of a new QB.

Same reasoning why Brees was removed as the Chargers QB in favor of Rivers/Manning at the time. Brees was a "Schottenheimer" QB but lasted a year shorter than Shotty did in San Diego.

Its somewhat common when teams get a new GM or President.

I think Rivers is an average QB but I think the fact that he seems like a douche/seems to act like a child a lot makes me subconsciously think he's shittier than he is.

I believe there's something wrong with him physically. Wasn't it last year he had some problem with his shoulder or ribs for most of the season? I believe he's either not healed from that or it messed up his form and it's just in his head now. Don't get me wrong I enjoy seeing the Chargers burn, but I still think Rivers is a very good qb and there's something wrong with him that isn't about poor coaching or lost supporting talent.

Gonna hate seeing AJ Smith go though. That dude held that team back more than anything in my opinion.

Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent arrested and charged with manslaughter according to TMZ. He killed a teammate off of the practice squad. Here's the story:

Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent was arrested in Texas early this morning on charges of intoxication manslaughter involving a car accident in which a teammate died ... TMZ has learned.

Irving PD says Brent and a member of the team's practice squad, Jerry Brown, were involved in a single car accident around 2:30 AM local time and that Brown died as a result.

According to police, Brent was driving at a high rate of speed when his car "hit the outside curb," flipped over and came to rest in the middle of the road. Brent was responsive at the scene, but Brown was not. Brown was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Officers at the scene suspected alcohol to be a factor, so they gave Brent was given a field sobriety test, which he failed. His blood was also taken at the hospital to determine his blood alcohol level.

He was arrested by Irving PD and booked on a second degree felony charge at 4:14 AM and is being held without bail.

Brent pled guilty to a misdemeanor DUI charge while in college ... where he and Brown were teammates.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones released a statement today, saying, "We are deeply saddened by the news of this accident and the passing of Jerry Brown. At this time, our hearts and prayers and deepest sympathies are with the members of Jerry’s family and all of those who knew him and loved him."

The incident comes just one week after Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend and then himself.

I definitely see the addition of no kickoffs, alcohol, cars, and no guns allowed being added in 2013. No strip clubs? I kinda feel like tackling itself is becoming passe and may be eliminated from the game by 2015.
