Losing week 1 away to the current Super Bowl champion Packers is a bit different to losing week 1 at fortress Superdome to the Redskins with a rookie QB. It's going to be a bit of an average season for the Saints now I feel after all the shit that's happened and I can't see them getting a wild card looking at how good the NFC should be this year.

He's no Joe Flacco, but he is a good QB. I think if he got a competent coach who had the balls to stand up to Jerry and make the team HIS team then the level of play would go up and the complacency and sense of automatic superstardom would go down.

Ray rice and mid both effectively became starters in 2009. Ray rice has 2 years with over 2000 total yards from scrimmage to mjd's 0. Rice also has about 100 more yards rushing since 2009 and twice as many receptions and yards receiving over that span, as well as half as many fumbles 5 to mjd's 10.
About the only stat mid is better in is combined tds 34-29.
So yes, ray rice > mjd

I was pissed the cowboys took dez Bryant right ahead of the ravens in 2010. And flacco really liked throwing to Todd heap hid first two years and Jason Written is way better than Heap .

Yea, considering what he did to the Saints secondary, one can only imagine how badly he's going to slice and dice the Rams secondary. Then again, you guys held Detroit pretty well last week so, I don't think RGIII will play as well as he did week 1.

Yeah, the Rams secondary was at least getting turnovers against a good QB on the road and showed some signs of life. The Saints secondary is... the Saints secondary.

Well there you go.

With Cowboys-Giants, Lions-Rams, Chargers-Raiders, 49ers-Packers and Jags-Vikings being in the 20s range and Bucs-Panthers and Eagles-Browns even being in the teens, it really didn't come off as ridiculously high scoring. Definitely not record setting.
