Ben Roethlisberger was in a great situation, any QB can win with what they had going on. Not saying he isn't good by any means, but the true testament to his ability will be when they lose some of their star players, ie Burress, Ward and their defense. That has happened to an extent and appears to be happening even more, so we'll see if Roethlisberger can manage with what he has left.

The only Pats loss that really worries me (well two) Bruschi and Johnson.

One of the best MLB in the league in all aspects, line calling, run stopping, pass coverage etc.

and one of the best run stoppers in the league, everyone knew TJ was only a 1st/2nd down back, but still a great run stopper.

I do know this, if the offense comes out and stutters, everyone's going to flip out around her and question Belicheck not hiring an Offensive Coordinator.

I dunno with the Colts, I still see them every year as a track team and once you smack them in the mouth they get aligator arms and a step slower.

If it's not the Pats, I think the Jets become the team to beat, Pennington over Rothlesberger. Martin over Bettis, and the list goes on.

Also, I expect a good season from the Dolphins, they still have the defensive tools, have Rickey back and Brown ended his hold out. Giving them the possibility of two 1000yd rushers in the backfield and a good WR corp. The question is, have the found a QB who can move the ball?

The west is going the be a tough division, The colts should walk over their division, but Jacksonville doesn't have a very tough schedule.

The Steelers should take their div, but it wouldn't suprise me to see another team in that div give them a run for their money, especially if the Bus gets a flat tire.

Yah they sure were a step slower last year werent they. You wont have to worry about our passing game. We will beat you with Edge and when he's tired will bring in Rhodes. Also your offensive line will get shredded by our speed on the DL. Our passing game is the last thing you need to worry about.

I'm not sure where you got the whole GOAT . I surely didnt say that. I also didnt pick the Colts to go to the Superbowl , but none of that really matters. When you talk about the Patriots, i dont sit here and laugh at you and question your credibility or pile on about shit like the some other assclowns . Steelers special teams and defense looked awesome tonight. Maybe they wont be as average as i thought. Baltimore is really good though.Maybe a wildcard or something for Steelers.

I didnt see much of the Steelers game but I heard that safety Troy Polamalo (sp?) does crazy workouts. The biggest weight he uses is 20 pounds. Thats ridiculous. He must do some crazy shit seeing how he made the probowl. Eagles back up linebacker Matt McCoy looked like a sick fuck with that blacked out visor though. I wish them shits were legal in Mass High school football becuase I woulda rocked one.

He had Hines Ward, Plaxico Burress, and Antawn Randall-El, of couse his passing game was going to be good. Also, Bettis will probably be a third down back this year and it won't slow them down. They will go 9-7 or 10-6. Hines is back if you havent seen yet.

Anyway, people always bring up the fact that the Patriots can lose players and then have somebody come in and fill in just fine. Well yeah, they can do that when they plan to lose a player, when its Ty Law or Lawyer Milloy or those guys. But they weren't planning on losing Bruschi and he is one of the guys you simply can't replace. Its like having Tom Brady go down with a broken neck and saying the Pats will still win it all with a backup quarterback because its all the system. The Pats individuals are way too underrated, and losing Bruschi is going to hurt.

Look, I give the Colts credit, they have a great team, but it seems each year you tell us how this is the year, the Colts are the best, blah, blah, blah and then they don't win. Someone with time should go back and get all your posts before the Pats v. Colts game last year.

I'm a lifelong Pats fan and it's a great time to be one, wasn't that way during the 1-15 seasons, but I still watched.

I kinda compare (not talent wise, but situation) the Colts are the mid/late 80's Cleveland Browns. The Browns had a good team, one of the best in the league, but couldn't get past the Broncos in the playoffs (3 afc championship losses). Was it Kosar? Schottenheimer? Who knows.

But the Colts have the same thing now, one of the best teams in the league, but can't get by the Pats, ever worse when they meet for the big games they get stomped, not close. Why? I belicheck a magician? Does Manning choke? Dungy have a bad plan? Do they go out drinking the night before? Who knows.

The question is, can the Colts get a shot while they still have their core together. For the Colts to stay competitive Manning will have to re-do his contract, you can't tie up that much money. One thing that keeps the Pats going so well each year is drafting and cap management. Pro-Bowlers like Milloy, Law gone, replaced by rookie's or free-agent re-treads.

The Pats do have a lot to over come, the MLB losses are big, who knows, maybe Chad Brown stays healthy and returns to his Pro Bowl form? Is running the offense too much for Belicheck to handle? Does Mangini have problems that force Belicheck to try to do it all? Does he get upset over his wife leaving him (wait, she's leaving because of all the hours he works... doubt he'll notice her gone then)

Plus, Brady held out the first pre-season game and hasn't practiced much, on session he threw a few and then handed off all morning, so everyone is worried they're hiding a problem with his arm.

That all being said, till the Colts prove otherwise, they are the Patriots bitch.

I agree Bruschi going down with hurt a lot but you never know. I thought the samething about Ty Law going down. Look who they had playing behind him, no one with any experience at all. Bruschi does things you can't replace but so didn't Law, and they were still able to get by. Is Chad Brown going to do all the samethings as Bruschi? No, but that doesn't mean they can't win the Superbowl or that somebody else won't step up. I've just stopped doubting the Patriots because everytime I do they pull it out. I will continue to do that until they give me a reason to stop.

Well, yes, the regular season has not started yet, and every team is tied 0-0 so every team has a good shot at the superbowl.

That being said, even if Loseman doesn't make "huge mistakes" i'd be suprised to see the Bills break .500

Look at their schedule. Look at their Division.

They have a A+ defense. There recievers are really good. Mcgahee is a top tier runningback. I havent looked at there schedule , but based on what i see on paper.If Losman doesnt completley stink it up. They should make the playoffs.
