Hey, why not have tryout matches before then? Like just random exhibition matches between random guys, like training almost, before the big show.

Fucking hell. I'm like 13 losses and 3 wins because of the fucking button response lag. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't get into those submissions with the ball going back and forth. The lag is really killing me.

Gamespy really need to speed up the fucking servers. I have a 6Mbps connection and I'm still getting fucking lag, and that's what always kills me. It's a bitch to reverse shit with a half-second delay. Plus that thing about submissions.

It's fun, but it could be more fun.

If you have the slim ps2, all you need is a highspeed connection, and a Cat5 cable... You'll need to first run the disc that came with the ps2 to set up the connection on it. After that, just go through the process on the smackdown game.

i have ntl broadband and from what i have heard it costs £5 a month....
well that isn't really that much.
and i dunno about the disk that came with ps2 i got have a look for it now....
whats a cat5 cable?

A cat5 cable is what hooks the modem to your computer. If you have highspeed, you probably have one, unless you're using wireless... It runs from the modem into the network card plug on your PC.

As far as the disk, that was my initial problem. Once you fine it, stick it in. Amongst other things it will ask for your Username /Password for the broadband. It's pretty straight forward.. Not sure where to get a second one though.

Your slim ps2 really didn't come with it? Mine came in a little sleeve that said "Online start up disc V3.0. If you don't have that though, I'd send away for the network gaming CD, as that's probably it. Maybe it's a difference in how they're packed in Europe as opposed to America.

Finally got my game online. First game gave me a REAL bad impression as it lagged like a fucking webcam on dialup. Had a few matches after that, lag was nowhere near as bad, and once you get the hang of it, it's doable...

Now if only people didn't have Level 99 CAWS who has cruiser moves, and were super heavy weights

The game doesn't lag for me often. Maybe about 30/35% of the games lag.
Anyway when is the tournament being made out? Who's in charge?

I love online so far, except for a few things. First of all I hate when people pick the quickest, cheapest moves for their CAW's. Then I played a cage match where I was pretty much taking the match, and the guy climbed out of the cage in no time by exiting the door because when I hit X there was a button delay.

No more cage matches for me.
