oh and everytime they showed Payton clutching his fists and marking out when ELI made a play, it made me mark out. he was feeling what all the Giants supporters were. it was great

Yeah, I'm just saying stat-wise it's Eli's INT.. Prolly more than 50% of int's are off tipped balls but still count against the QB reguardless..

Amazing game. I jumped out of myseat literally when he made that catch. Unreal. Buck and Aikman could have been more emotional though!! Al Michaels would have given that play a classic line to go with it. But whatever, never seen such a gutsy defensive performance.

Even as a former hater of NFL, i can appreciate that catch, and how great the match was. Btw love the 'we are the champions' song in this thread. lol, wondered wtf was going on for a sec! Although i hate how the commentators said 'world champions' its only american teams, duh!!!

Still hardly 'world' though is it? English football is far more worldly than american football. And actually have a world cup, where it makes sense to call them world champions.

It makes about as much sense as calling the sport football in the first place, since kicking and punting is such a minor part of the game.

Splitting hairs really. I think the 'World Champion' moniker is justified since football isn't played anywhere else on the globe. The best talent in the world is in North America (primarily the United States.) Of the 120 or so division 1 college football teams, all the best talent makes its way to the NFL. The best of the best are in the NFL. I would wager anyone that anybody else in the world couldn't field a team to beat the NFL's best, given unlimited resources to do so.

You're raising a logical point, I agree. Until an international team is fielded and competes, then its open for contention. Thats just my take though. Thats why I think its more logical to call them Superbowl Champions, or World Series Champions, or NBA Champions or Stanley Cup Champions etc. Avoid the whole discussion altogether.

I think the reason I can't get into other pro sports leagues as much as I get into the NFL is because the championship is decided with 1 game. There are pros and cons to both formats (1 game, 7 game format) but its all or nothing, win or go home with 1 game.

Ah yes..the draft. With the success that the pass rushing Giants had, do you think some teams will make it a priority for those pass rushers? I know there's a couple 1st rounders. I want Desean Jackson and Mendenhall to the Cowboys with those 2 1st rounders.

Yeah every team is gonna have some sort of premier pass rusher pretty soon...just like almost every team is now using a 2 back system, while a few years ago it was all about one premier rusher.

Ok ESPN is unwatchable now.... seriously Ive never seen so many grown men salivate to have one mans nuts in their mouth so bad. Like every single segment might as well be eli cumming on anyone of the analysts face and taking it in the ass simultaniously from strahan and tyree. I mean my god it is rediculous. Now Im no Pats fan (bills fan ) but I got behind them because I figured that if they didnt win the superbowl then this whole season was a huge waste of my time. There are so many other teams Id rather see in there winning it, but they ran the table... I figured I might as well enjoy saying I saw a team go undefeated. FUCK!!! FUCK YOU PATS!!! And in case you were all wondering yes I hate the giants. The only thing worse than the giants winning would be if the cowboys made it and won. I might take a sledge to my TV

Yo one thing I am kinda pissed off and confused about is how the Patriots challenged and won that 12 men on the field call. I didn't think you were allowed to challenge penalties at all. It's not like you can go back and challenge that there was holding on a play
