MITB is really becoming a must-see ppv. More than Survivor Series that's for sure.

Found an interesting analysis of Bryan's injury:
http://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircl...n_in_light_of/ I know Reddit has a bed reputation around here, but it's still a good read. |

Is it insane that now CM Punk is seemingly set to be positioned against Paul Heyman and co. that I kind of want to see him beat Curtis Axel for the Intercontinental Championship? Yeah, Punk is really high-profile, but there is no doubt that he would make people care about the Intercontinental Championship. Punk vs. Lesnar for the title would be bizarre, but it would certainly remind people of the championship's prestige. Punk could win the title from Axel to purposely try and derail Heyman's newest client. Lesnar then beats Punk at Money in the Bank or SummerSlam for the title. The two have a return match at either SummerSlam or Night of Champions. If it's at SummerSlam, Punk wins; but if you did their first match there, at Night of Champions Axel helps Lesnar win. The two then have a Hell in a Cell Match against each other, to keep Heyman and Axel out of their business. Punk beats Lesnar there and then takes back the Intercontinental Championship. This would be Punk's third or fourth reign, depending on when he first starts working with Brock, but he then holds onto the belt for a while and possibly even enters the Royal Rumble and claims that he's going to take it into the main event of WrestleMania again.
Since I'm thinking we may get The Undertaker vs. Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX next year, that leaves John Cena without an opponent. Cena and Punk always have good chemistry and I think they could really use a WrestleMania match against each other. Punk wins the 2014 Royal Rumble and challenges John Cena, who is either WWE Champion or World Heavyweight Champion (I think Cena holding the World Heavyweight Title again would really help raise its stock), and we get Punk winning his sixth World Title at WrestleMania and he then forfeits the Intercontinental Championship, which has now been held by CM Punk and Brock Lesnar, and we get a post-WrestleMania tournament which can be won by a rising star who would instantly look like a big deal. |
